I think the people screwing the code availability up are the ones that are calling and adding feature codes in attempt to 'stick it to the man'.

I mean, I'm all for getting free or discounted crap, but not just for the sake of getting it. You have people who have 450 minute plans with over 1000 bonus minutes and then they aren't even using over their plan minutes, they think they have to have these bonus minutes 'just in case' or 'just because i can'.

I added TMS4 to my account and just that. I could have probably had the rep add the 200 bonus minutes to my account, but why bother? I only use about 150 a month. The main reason I wanted TMS4 was to bring my monthly price down to around where I was on Sprint.

When I get my wife her phone, I'll try to add the 250 B2B texts for 3.99 instead of trying to add CLL2. I just don't think it's fair to think you're 'entitled' to these free codes just because they're available. If people would only call in for codes that they could really utilize instead of trying to grab anything that's available, AT&T wouldn't be cracking down so hard.

My friend got an iphone and new att acct today. I called up for him and got him 1500 SMS for $8.99 rep didnt know it existed but when I gave code she was like wow thanks for helping me LOL. I also said that I qualifed for 200 Bonus SMS since my FAN was of a university and gave code CLL2 she added it no questions asked. I will try bonus minutes later for him didnt wanna push it..

well that was easy, i added the 1,500 texts for 8.99 to my premier account. the lady i talked to was real nice and easily added it. at first she was not sure if it could be added because i had an iphone, but i guess when she added it it worked because it shows up on my account now.

thanks for the help guys/girls.

I've had some trouble in a couple tries to add these codes, and the last time the woman there gave me another number to call (I had been calling 611).

Is this normal? Are these still valid?

CLL2 removed placed back on may be removed again LOL

So today I logged into my OLAM since my bill generated. I still cant see the bill itself but I can see the amount so I will post later details about codes and such I said I would.

Well I noticed that CLL2 for 200CollegeSMS was removed from my account. Not my bonus just CLL2 so I called business care and was told it was set to expire that day. Apparently the rep that added it placed it on for only 30 days. Lucky I have been getting helped by a rep at the Executive Office with my bonus since I had issues that were very crazy and was given these back a month ago. I called and she got them back on no issue.

1) I'm posting this for two reason. When your bill generates check your CLL2 make sure its still on there.

2) The Executive Office confirmed it is an expired SOC code so if it falls off you may be out of luck. Call to get it back on hope it works. If you get denied and don't have it yet because they say its expired just accept it and try again. Again just check bill and make sure it doesnt fall off for you too.

3) This may be since I do not have a college FAN so if you have a FAN other than college and it gets pulled looks like tough luck LOL looks like if mine stays another 30 days ill be lucky LOL.

So I'm speaking with a manager right now cause my iphone data and text plan was randomly removed yesterday during the outage. He is putting everything back bu told me 1500 txt expires in 2010

What he probibly did is place an expiration date of 2 years making it 2010. Reps and managers can place expiration dates on SOC codes if they wish. I spoke to EER dept. today and my 1500 txt for $8.99 along with all my bonus has no expirations.

Well basically it goes until my contract ends, so it doesn't matter to me. What I don't understand is how it got randomly removed in the first place. Both my data and text plan just vanished yesterday.

The 14th of every month, it shouldn't of been randomly removed. It was removed due to an error.

I agree, I really wish people wouldn't abuse this just for the sake of being able to say they have the coolest AT&T plan. I have 450-minute plan and so far have not even used half of that in a month's time, so with all of my rollover, I know that even if I use the phone unusually much one month, it won't really matter.
I did apply the TMS4 code to my account because, while I don't regularly exceed 200 text messages per month, I do want to have room for growth, and it's only $3.99 more than what I would pay otherwise, rather than $10 more (which I think is a ripoff anyway).

That isnt the case at all. If everyone called and only got one code it would still be watched the way it is now. It has nothing to do with the number of codes people are adding at one time but the number of times each code in particular U200, Y200 are being added. Since you can only apply them once its irrelevant if you add 6 more LOL. if 1000 added U200 and we know its more hehe then thats 1000 calls to customer care.

Its like when people on SD order 35 of an item thats priced wrong and someone says thats what ruined the deal its not its the 10000 orders than flooded the order system and warehouse. LOL

We all know this is the case so everyone that even added one code is to be blamed the same as those who added 10. Those people just have more thats all.

And I know im one of those people so lets not go there LOL>

Actually it still is sort of the problem, but you're right, it's not the only part of it. I don't think it's so much the sheer volume of people calling in, but the hassle that's being created by all of the people calling in. There are a lot of people trying to add the codes that don't have a FAN attached to their account, and they're calling dozens of times to get a different rep because they read online that people are getting them added, and if they give you a hard time, just call back. (A lot of people are also calling once to add a code, then calling back to add another, etc) The vast majority of people on the Internet simply do not take the time to fully read something before they act, and thus it creates a chaos of sorts.

Seems CLL2 was removed from my account too.

Edit:

Regular work FAN

A call informed me that it was removed today for no apparent reason (removed by the "system" according to notes). He was able to add it back though.

Yeah I aggree with that comment about the multiple calling when they dont have fans or are turned down. The ones like me that have all these freaking codes are the ones that honestly sweet talk them and never got a bad rep at all. I got a rep to add 5 codes no questions asked. That why I think your right its the ones that have no chance at all and the sheer colume of call backs.

I need to learn the ways you and others seem to have. While I'm very polite and courteous to the reps, when I tried adding the TMS4 code, I did have to talk to 3 different people before getting it added due to reps being unwilling to help from the start.
I know one guy that called Dell once for tech support and somehow carried on with the guy about video games and playing in a band. I don't see how those sorts of things come about... maybe I just need better people skills

I wouldn't have even bothered if AT&T has SOMETHING in between 200 and 1500. If there was a 750 for 9.99, I'd be more than happy to pay it.

I got the bonus 200 minutes added the first time I called 2 months ago, but since then I tried about 10 times to get TMS4 added to my account with no luck. I thought there was no way I was getting any more codes added as one of the reps put notes on my account stating I kept calling trying to add the code.

I just tried again and talked to my first male rep, he was extremely helpful. I told him about CLL2, added it right away, then I said I've called before about TMS4 but no one knew what I was talking about. He said he didn't see TMS4, but saw TMS3 and added that, then started looking for other codes he could give me, and added a bonus 65 minutes. He was like joking with me about how hooked up I was with my account, saying he knew what it was like to be in college.

So, if you have a legitimate FAN account and are getting denied, just keep calling till you talk to the nice rep.

but why get 1000 for 9.99 when there is 1500 for 8.99. Its a valid active code. if the reps say no its since they didnt look in the right place. Its right on there list of codes... Its not special like bonus...

Good job to the guy with 65 bonus right on... Id ask for the code when you get your bill but lol I dont need it hehe. You kay want to be nice and post here it will show on your bill under call details after your next cycle... PVT me if you have questiuons.

Ya sure, Ill post it when I get it. I wouldn't even know about any codes if it wasn't for this site.

I wouldn't either. I cant get anymore codes after what I have and the reaction I get from reps LOL but im still trying to help others. Reps fall over in amazement when I call in so it like having a million dollars and saying I need 1000 more its like why bother LOL.
