Any clue if TMS4 still works?

I used to have it on my 2G phone, but when I upgraded to 3G it got taken off. :(

Still works. It would have been taken off as you had to get an entirely different plan. The 2G and 3G plans are completely different. So you will have to call back to have it added.

Just called twice for TMS4.

First chick didn't even know what the hell a feature code was at first, then she said she only saw TMS3.

Second time, the guy said the same thing. He only saw TMS3 and it "might be a local promotion" and I should check my nearest AT&T store. grrrrrrr.

maybe it died?

Call back again, and see if you get a CSR who knows what the hell they're doing.

It's still up there, I just swapped mine for it.

Remember to say you want to replace your current text/SMS plan with TSM4. They won't be able to add it unless they take off your regular text/SMS plan.
 
Called last night again, the rep fed me the same old skit.

I called just now and specifically told the guy what to do, step by step. I made him remove my current 200txt plan and then search for the code. He could not find it, but did find TMS3. so after about 10 minutes of him doing whatever on his end, in the end, he had to readd my 200 txt plan back.

All these tries I have tried by calling through 611 from my phone. I will try again by calling from a land line on the 800 number. :mad:

edit: just called again from a landline..... they put me on hold for about 15 minutes, and to no avail. this time i was told that they need my HR department to call them to add the code because they're not seeing it.

Do they make notes on the account stating that I'm calling like 30 times to add this code? lol
 
I just had TMS4 added last night and it shows up under my Features:

Text Msging 1500 B2B $8.99 1500 N/A Current

However the bar graph under Data Usage still shows my old 200 SMS messages plan. I did confirm that the rep did take off the old SMS plan.

This is my first billing cycle and it closes on Nov 14th. Do I have to wait until the 14th to get the 1500 messages?

Also, I confirmed my FAN # is now showing in the upper right corner. Where do I find the discount %? Does that only show up on the bill?

When I added mine, I said

Then...

I told them that my friend who works with me has a SMS plan feature that I want to add as well on my account. They'll ask what it is, I told them "its like a 1,500 SMS text messages for only I think nine bucks (USD), like a special feature he said, could you take a look?" They asked me if I knew any code, that's the only time I said TMS4 then they placed me on hold. After being on hold for like 2 minutes, the rep said where'd did my friend get it, I just replied it was a memo from our HR that he read earlier this morning. By then the rep added it to my account and here it is.

Yup just go try it, but not daily lol. I tried mine when I was on lunchbreak that time before haha. Btw the code is TMS4, somehow I mistyped it but its now fixed.

Hello, i have a quiestion about your early nights and weekend plan. How did u get it for 99C? i was on old blue plan with that feature, but they upgraded and promised to keep that feature, and turned their back saying there is no way. I mensioned them about this 99C a month for 7PM nites and weekends, they put a note on my account that i am eligible for it. but no 1 can figre out how to. I will reallllly appreciate if you can point me in that direction. BTW who gives 28% FAN discount?

just tried your method to the T, Ray. I was on the phone for about 20 minutes , hearing about international roaming lol. to no avail, after that he said he never heard of TMS4 and he could not find it in the system. I'm fed up with these people and might just have to spur the 15 a month. :mad:

Are you calling from your iPhone, or from a land line? I had better luck calling from a land line, and later at night (around 10pm PST (GMT -8 )). Either way, definitely keep trying, because it's there and it works. The CSRs you are getting just don't know what they are doing.

AND yeah you are on the best plan on, that one even beats my old BLUE plan that i was on so far with 1500 anytime mins unlimited 7 pm and unlimited incoming texts. Do you mind if i also ask for the time period that you added all this bonus codes? because now a days not just 90, but 99% reps say no to those codes in that forum you mensioned, and 1% who are really trying to help out cant figure out how to add them, ( atleast in my case, only codes i got to work are for 200 bonus mins and texts ) :confused:

sorry for rebumping and rebumping this thread, but I won't stop until I get satisfaction from this p-o-s company!

Just called again, sounded confident, told the guy exactly what I wanted. Told him to remove my current txt plan first as well. Of course, to no avail. He could not find the TMS4 code anywhere. I did call from a landline, and they always seem to know / see that I'm calling in regards to an iPhone. The guy kept saying that iPhone has set data plans and it's 5 for 200, 15 for 1500, etc. Codes cannot be added, etc.

Then I asked him if he's heard about the TMS3 code, cause that's what all the reps before him told me they saw. so I made him pull that up, and I just made him put that on my phone plan...... for now.

Hopefully by doing this, next time I call... whoever answers sees that feature code and will add the TMS4 to replace it. I'm so frustrated!!

It's not even like I'm trying to scam these people. I'm willing to pay more than I am now.

I think I see where your problem is. Are you telling them that this is for your iPhone? If so, that would be the problem. If you tell them that "I would like to replace a feature on my plan with the FAN Feature Code I am going to give to you" then you should get better results. The moment you mention that it is for an iPhone, they are going to go into iPhone mode and tell you that this doesn't work (because they've been trained to do/say that). So leave out any mention of iPhone, and you should be okay.

I think I see where your problem is. Are you telling them that this is for your iPhone? If so, that would be the problem. hey BL, that's the thing. I don't tell them willingly. Every time I call, I give them my mobile number, then the last social, then they give me the normal routine of 'let me pull up your account info' skit. That leads them into seeing I have the iPhone. Then they ask me / verify with me that I have the iPhone.

I mean, wtf lol. Should I sit there and lie more?

rofl @ the last rep. I told him that two of my friends had added this to their account this week and I wanted to as well. The guy had the nerve to ask me what their mobile numbers were so he could "pull up their account and copy what they had done to theirs to put on mine". I told them it was on my business phone out in my car. What a jerk.

Well, I guess I will try later this week. On my Data tab on my AT&T page, it's giving me that red message saying it cannot be displayed until the new billing cycle on 12/12. so, I guess I will try around then.

Thank you for all your help! It has been so crazy I have not had time to post! I now have loads of cool features! The only one I cant get is Early nights and weekends cheep! I have seen it for 99cents and for free but I can't get a rep who know's anything about it. I know it's out there I worked for AT&T so I know a lot of the codes but the reps are being well.. I guess I should be nice! =))

IIRC, these would be per line. So you'd need to pay the additional $3.99 for TMS3 on the second line. U200 I believe is also per line, so you'd need to add that for each line in your family plan.

Guess what I am going back with HR at AT&T Tomorrow and I know for a fact we are going to leave the discounts as is! No one will get them droped and you will be able to get discounts! Some better! :p
