I just spoke to an ATT rep and I asked him about TMS4. he suddenly asked me about if i have been to this website, I cant remember the name. I told him no, and then he told that any account that has added the TMS4 feature will have the TMS4 removed and there will be legal action. I dont know if this dude was just being a di*k or was serious, but I am kinda cautious with calling back. Is there any other way i can ask for this feature?

how are we legally liable for any service that is added to our account by a CSR?????

Legal action? So we asked to have a promo code added to our account, att said we are eligible for a FAN discount, their systems said we are eligible for the $8.99 for 1500 text messaging. I guess it's their own fault then and you can blame all the CSRs for adding it to our account.

You should of told him to email you a copy of the transaction. It will state his name and what he did for your account. I have one from each of my reps.
 
I also had the CSR email me a copy of the transaction to my account and I have it stored in my inbox in case anything comes up.
 
he mentioned the website slickdeals. And said the code adds 200 min or the texts.

Also the first 2 reps I spoke to rejected me from getting the add
 
Just worked for me! It took two tries though. First guy told me I couldn't do it over the phone. I called again and I spoke to a different CSR. After telling her I wanted to add the feature code TMS4, she put me on a brief hold. I'm not sure exactly what she was doing while she put me on hold but she came back like a minute later and told me it was successfully added and I should see it on my next bill!:cool:
 
Just was told by a rep that TMS4 is the $30 family plan text code, and TMS3 is the $15 for 1500 messages code. :confused:

@espo - Try again because me and Khurram are both from NYU as well and we got it working. He got it on the fourth try and I got it on the second.

I feel a lot of the csr's don't know about the feature codes. You have sound like you are sure about the code. Never mention forums or SD. For those who use SD, you should know that is the first rule. Just say you got it from a fellow co-worker and they have it on their account.

The two calls I made were from my home phone. I didn't use the 611. I had two nice ladies. I'm sure I could of had it added by the first rep if I mentioned featured code instead of code. I wasn't as sure as to what I was doing when I first called.

I will give this a go myself, but one question. Are the codes for bonus minutes "one time" codes or are they every month? There is a code Y100 that is for 500 bonus minutes, but is that a one shot deal?

The minute codes are monthly and stackable. Well HoFo leads me to believe they are stackable.
 
Just got off the phone with a CSR, and got the code added in 5 mins. She told me the business discount doesn't apply to it though only the voice/data plan.
 
I called from a landline, so I dialed their 1800 number. The CSR won't know this exists, because the standard plan is 1500 for $15. You have to explicitly tell them you wish to add feature code TMS4 to your plan. They will they the code in and then ask you what that code is for. You will tell them its $8.99 for 1500 text messages and then they will either add it for you or tell you they can't do it. If they tell you they can't do it, hang up try again.
 
I called 611 from my phone. I then told the CSR i wanted to add a text messaging plan, and i mentioned having a code when she started reciting the normal plans.
 
So, I called yesterday. I told them that I had this code that a HR rep gave me to add the texting. The CSR (dont remember the name, some guy) said that the TMS4 was only for business accounts (where your phone is part of corporate plan) and I couldnt add that. This sux.....
 
iphone 1.0

When I switched my ATT account to an iphone last year, I had a 1200 min 39.99$ plan. ATT put me on the iphone plan, 59.99$ (with data and sms) and then ADDED 400 min a month and 3000 roll-over minutes to my account. So, 900 min and roll-over minutes. I hope I can swing the same thing with my other ATT account when I move up to the 2.0 phone in the future.

I think this is true! The first guy i talked to was so clueless about everything. The second lady I talked to seemed so much friendlier and knew exactly what to do.
 
I was told that this would work on my account but these text messages are only good for business to business, basically 2 business account phones on AT&T network.

Are you guys aware of this?
 
I was actually wondering what the B2B meant.

Here's a simple test, text someone or email a text to your phone and see if it counted as part of the 1500 messages or was it charged separately. I think text messages are text messages.
 
Not according to what I was told. Text to non business comes off your regular texts, texts to AT&T business members comes off your B2B texts.

You guys really should check this out before you go text crazy. And then let me know so I can either add this or leave mine alone. :)
