My wife wanted an iPhone so I jumped on the 8G. She doesnt care about the new 3G anyway so no big deal for her.

For me... waiting for the 3G.

Do I need to sign a contract before I pay or is it exaclty like ordering through apple.com where you pay and setup the contract in itunes?

I live in Canada and would like to order one.

I tried ordering two iPhones as separate orders and they emailed me and cancelled one even thought I have two lines of service. I guess one per household means one per household no matter what.

You choose the contract when the phone arrives and you activate it. In other words, you can choose to NOT activate it with ATT. I don't know if you can get one with a Canadian shipping address...

Remember, now people. There is speculation that the NEW iPhones will be subsidized and CHEAPER than these refurbs ($199 and $299 with a 2 year contract).

Buy if you plan to unlock, though...

Do you guys think I should get the 8gb or wait for the 3g phone? i really want gps but i have t-mobile so i dont know if i can use the 3g part.

how long did it take you guys to get the phone last time? Will I get it before next tuesday?

I bought an 8GB refurb from AT&T last time round. The phone is in great condition so I purchased a 16GB refurb this time.

I figure that since I'm on T-Mobile and have no intentions of joining the dark side and paying $20-$30 to upgrade from 8GB to 16GB, i think it's a great deal.

If it's sold out then that's fine with me too.. It could be a blessing in disguise since the new 3G phone is coming out soon. It's probably better for me to buy one then.

When I finally decided to purchase a refurbished iPhone, AT&T already took it off, so that probably means the iPhone 3G and I are meant to be, ;). I was really conflicted earlier about whether or not I should get one, but "patience is a virtue."

That's right my brother!

already got an offer for 450 for my 8gb in the mail unlocked

got to love craigslist and the uninformed consumer : )

Thats awesome for you, but I can't find a soul to buy mine! I guess people in Maine are all set with the iPhone. If you know anyone who wants to buy an 8 gigger, let me know!
