Carrier AT&T iPhone 15/iPhone 15 Pro Pre-order & Delivery Thread

I wouldn’t be surprised if it got pulled ahead. 100% just a guess though. What config did you order and what time?
Blue pro max, 256gb, and ordered 3:30 ( not sure when preorders opened that day my time, I’m in Alabama so I think it was 7ish?)
Gotcha. Yeah I’m in CST, in TN, and it opened at 7. It seems the max variants were as at least as popular as last year. That, on top of production issues with the new lens, could cause the shipping estimate to not get pulled early this year. Maybe you were in the second wave and worst case could ship out Friday or Monday with a Tuesday or Wednesday delivery.
I just hope it’s delivered by the 29/30, before I go out of town (or after that anyways). At least this year I’ll have my case before I get my phone!
Ordered Blue Titanium Pro Max through the Apple website using AT&T $1000 trade in credit (12 promax). Picking up the phone in Apple store on Friday. The checkout process allowed 2 ways to deliver the trade in - in the Apple store @pick up, or receive a trade in kit in the mail. I picked the latter to allow enough time to synch the old phone to the new. Having second thoughts now. Does the Apple store allow time to run the synch or complete the icloud restore to the new device?
I just pre-ordered two iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB Natural Titanium on AT&T on Best Buy website. Pick up Date 10/6.
I’m in the same boat completed order at 8:19 EST…still waiting on my tracking number. AT&T site says “Ordered”…Estimated shipping 9/21

Yes AT&T Units are locked if on an installment plan. And you also need to manually request the unlock after the next billing cycle. Note that you may pay off the installment plan at any point in the installment contract and it will still be locked until your Unlock request is processed.

You can on Thursday afternoon after about 3:30 PM CST - 7:30 PM CST depending on regiion in the USA when the FedEx labels are printed, you should receive an eMail with instructions and the FedEx Overnight Tracking number. AT&T usually receives their bluk shipments from Apple on Thursday throughout the day.
They have to breakdown the bulk shipments, print labels and put the on an AT&T box with instructions insert and label a unit from the line with a scan of the Apple Box information.

Did they ship a return box yet? My phone shipped but no info on return trade in box.
Take this with a grain of salt but the Best Buy salesperson said that the phones arrive at their stores unlocked and that once the IMEI number is registered or activated that it becomes locked on AT&T. Sounds meh?
iPhones pull down their carrier lock policy during activation, so this is more or less correct. It gets locked during activation if Apple's activation system says it should be.

I ordered a 15 PM with AT&T financing from Apple with a delivery date of Friday and got a UPS shipping notification on Sunday saying it was picked up in China. Despite that Apple is still showing the order as preparing to ship and the tracking hasn’t updated in days.
Considering it’s Tuesday night in China, I’m thinking it won’t arrive here by Friday. It would have to leave no later than tomorrow to make it to Alaska by Thursday and to me by Friday.

You should go to the other thread where everyone that purchased through Apple are tracking their phones. Many have left Alaska this morning and headed to Kentucky. Most of us in this group ordered through AT&T and still waiting to get a tracking number.
Your Apple Order status on the Apple site will not update until about Thursday. However if you have a UPS Tracking number you should be able to track it all the way to your door for delivery using UPS.

You don't have a FedEx tracking number yet since AT&T is receiving large multiple bulk orders from Apple direct from China just like Verizon and T-mobile.
Your AT&T iPhone orders from AT&T often will not receive an update until Thursday afternoon after 3:30 PM CT when the AT&T Fulfillment Center in Ft. Worth starts printing FedEx shipping labels for each individual order. Then it is off to FedEx via truck for close distribution centers or via DFW Airport to FedEx in Memphis for sorting and overnight delivery on Friday 9/22 if your initial order showed ships 9/21.

Yup I know and understand. I was trying to give some advice to Morac. This is my first time ordering through AT&T and I’ve seen how people say it’s worked in the past. I know how it works ordering through Apple.
This is not always the case. In the last few years, my device has always been physically shipped from Fort Worth on Monday or Tuesday. It then goes to Memphis by Wednesday and then arrives at my local distribution center by Thursday for a Friday delivery. There is no way they could get all the devices delivered if they didn’t leave DFW u til Thursday evening. I also don’t know why the tracking doesn’t show up when the label is printed despite having FedEx delivery manager. It doesn’t show up for me until usually Wednesday at the earliest.
One iPhone is ready to ship the other says “we hit a snag with your order. Action required” and I hit it and it says it’s shipping on time. Lol. Looks like I have to talk to ATT support? It was just fine yesterday
