Does the iPhone in the box steal your sim before you turn it on? My sister is going to be abroad the weekend it comes out but wants to have it shipped to her house. Worried it'll deactivate her current phone.

Seeing as Apple has a Max credit of $650 for a trade in, the AT&T $1,000 trade in is one of the best deals I’ve seen ever.

Always sold my previous phone for about $700 but wow, can’t pass up another $300 just for sending the phone in with free shipping and no fees.

Does anyone have any idea if Apple is subsidizing this little boost in trade in value?

Apple is big on the 2030 net zero carbon emissions thing.

Are they giving AT&T incentive to trade in phones for a higher value in order to gain more recyclable material?

Just wondering why AT&T is going all out.

Success for iPhone 15 Pro Max Blue Titanium 256GB for launch day delivery. A little nerve-wracking because it flashed something like phone number is mandatory and my phone number was already there. But it was just a flash. Also made it seem like it didn't use my $75 gift card balance to pay the tax. So I selected Apple Pay. I thought I'd see a charge come through. I think it did use the gift card balance because the receipt says "Apple Pay" but shows last four numbers of a credit card I don't have. So maybe that's how the gift card is handled. Odd. But phone's coming on the 22nd.

Not like having to order it in the first 30 seconds like when bthe iPhone gold first came out in 2013. Those things were SCARCE and we had to get up at 3AM EST. got one sent and delivered onn launch day though.

It's because it locks you into their service for 3 years. They spread out the credit over 36 months and if you leave, upgrade, or pay out the phone before 3 years, you have to pay the remaining balance and don't get the rest of the trade-in value.

Apple site is already slipping to October 9 as earliest shipping for Pro Max Natureal Titanium 1TB ATT&T model.
Glad I use AT&T’s site every year.

Yeah I ended up going for the Black Titanium since I keep my phone in a case from day one. I couldn’t even tell you what iPhone color I have now. Lol. I originally wanted natural Titanium.

Didn't know they would open early so I got my order finished around 5:05AM PST. My order says Estimated Ship on Sep 21. Is that the same as delivery on Sep 22?
Also wondering this. I'm an Apple Store refugee so I got to AT&T pretty late, but it said 9/22 during checkout, so I'm hoping that shipping 9/21 is 9/22 delivery.

I was able to place my order. It only says, "shipping 9/21". Does that mean I missed the first wave/9-22 delivery?

My iPhone 15 (regular) Black 256 says Shipping 9/20 so not sure what that means for a delivery date.

Historically, AT&T with FedEx or UPS has received the phones early, but won’t attempt delivery until actual launch day per Apple.

It‘s happened, but rarely.

It’s possible that the exact model you ordered is already in AT&T’s possession and it somehow triggers a different shipping response that coordinates with their inventory servers.

I think they're shipping on 9/20 or 9/21 depending on how remote you are from their distribution centers.
Everyone should expect delivery day (9/22) delivery
Will display iPhone 15's be in the Apple Stores starting today or only on launch day next week?

I already received my Finewoven and Silicone cases, but would like to see the phones themselves.

no, it won't deactivate your old device until you go through the activation process with the new one.

AT&T has been down online for the first hour. Customer support is a no go either. Tried to upgrade through Apple directly but they can't retrieve my info from AT&T. You'd think they would have figured this out beforehand

Reading through the thread has me a little confused. I had to order my personal phone through AT&T but I was able to order my parents' phones through Apple with the AT&T trade-in credit.

Back when we got our 12 Pros we were able to order through Apple and bring our old phones into the AT&T store to complete the trade-in and apply the credits. Is that not the case anymore? It appears my parents' orders through Apple have Apple Trade-In Kits?

It's because it locks you into their service for 3 years. They spread out the credit over 36 months and if you leave, upgrade, or pay out the phone before 3 years, you have to pay the remaining balance and don't get the rest of the trade-in value.

Assuming you went without the Next upgrade. With the next upgrade as long as 50% of the phone value is paid off you can upgrade early. The monthly payments people will pay will be lower because it's spread out over 36 months but the overall price to upgrade will remain the same (it will just cost more to early upgrade next year because you are paying less every month towards the principal balance). You would also lose the remaining credit for the rest of the time left on the contract (unless they continue the same deal next year).

Completed my pre-order at 7:45 am CST on AT&T's website. 15 Pro in blue and regular 15 in blue for wife. Took five minutes. Delivery for next Friday!

Yes. Ship on 09/21 to arrive 09/22.

One thing about AT&T, the tracking updates will drive you crazy, haha!!

They'll show "pending", "preparing", then back to "Pending" then...the iPhone arrives on launch day :)

This will be my first experience with ordering from ATT. I was able to get my personal order in with Apple, but my daughters I had to do thru att. Apple kept telling me my account info didn’t match. I hope everything goes smoothly

When do you think we will get locked in? Like 100% for sure confirmed we will get them on release date.
