I ran through online buy and trade in. it has the same result and my iphone 14 pro max quality for $1000 credit even if I answered No to the questions "Is your device or screen function correctly". As long as the phone turn on and lock disable, it qualifies.

Also, it did not block me from using my iPhone 14 IMEI that I already requested for trade-in ONLY (without purchase) earlier today.
It seems many people are trying to figure out how AT&T's trade-in process works, but your case is quite unique. As it stands, your iPhone 14 Pro Max is now tied to two different trade-in queues with AT&T: one initiated online separately, and the other when you placed your order for the iPhone 16 Pro/Max.

I too just got my shipment notification. Coming from Plainfield, IN and should deliver tomorrow around noon.

Anyone who’ve ordered a pro max seeing any progress with their shipping status? Ordered on the 14th and my shipping date remains 10/18

the value estimation has nothing with my trade-in situation. The estimated value should be the same for everyone. BTW, I called ATT and was able to cancel my trade-in only. I will trade in in store when they have iphone 16 pro max available.

Maybe I missed it, but why don’t you just order one online?

You do not have to ship your old phone to AT&T. You can order the new phone online to be shipped to you, and select the option to trade your old phone in at the store. It’s what I did.

I preordered through AT&Ts website at maybe 8pm that Friday night and received on launch day. Remember it depends entirely on inventory and demand for the device they picked.
I knew that. In a way, I am glad I was talked out of getting a pro or max. I'd probably still be waiting, too.

Why doesn't FedEx's "View Delivery on a Map" feature ever work? I was googling about this and apparently this has been an issue for years. They should just remove the link if they don't reliably provide the service.

I don’t really have any instructions to give other than go through the check out process and make sure you find the section to choose drop off in store. I don’t remember exactly where it is but it’s kind of hidden. Just don’t hit submit before you find that and you should be good. I haven’t had a chance to drop them off yet but I’m sure it will go fine.

was you able to drop off successfully? AT&T employee did not refuse your phone as reported by many?
 
when do you expect AT&T stores got iphone 16 pro max in stock? based on last few years. anyone know?

It's kind of hidden.

After you select your device and put it in your cart, click 'Check out'.

After you click 'Check out', you'll see the delivery window, your shipping address, and "Returning your trade-in."

Just to the right of Returning your trade-in, you'll see an edit icon that is shaped like a pencil. Click the pencil-shaped icon and it should show you a drop down menu where you have the option to choose "I’ll drop it off at an AT&T Store."

at the final step of ordering with trade in, AT&T ask me to send them driver license, see msg below. do you get this before placing your order?

I have not ordered yet, but the option for an in-store drop-off is there when I do the check out.
This $1000 credit deal will be expired on 10/10. what if ATT stores does not have in stock before this date?
I did saw the option to drop off but stop when they ask me to send driver license through email right before placing order
 
Used the return label that was included with my 16PM for the trade-in. In previous years, they sent USPS labels, but this year, it was pre-printed with my info to be mailed back to Flower Mound, TX via UPS. I dropped it off the Monday after launch and today I got the message that they received the trade-in and no further action needed. I’m so shocked it was that easy.
