AT&T - iPhone 3G on Backorder for 5-7 Days.

picked up my 8gb today. Very nice. Got a nice leather sleeve to keep it in. Still figuring out how to use it (had to go see Batman tonight too, so did not have much time at all!!)

Very smooth application, reacts well, but I think my fat fingers are gonna make it harder to text!!! I am sure I will get the hang of it.

ATT Store was very helpful as well. I moved to Reno from Indiana and still have the Indiana number (nights start about 3 hours earlier for me) so they thought they were going to have trouble switching my number over, but it went smooth as pie, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Very nice looking and smooth operating phone. The calls were crystal clear as well.

yeah me too right after I saw you said that I checked mine sure enough it is shipped and should be there tommorow at 3, does that mean I can activate it tommorow or is att gunna make a rule against the day it comes in...:apple:
 
picked up 3 phones in 10 business days

Ordered 2 white and 1 black 16gb on the 7/15. The 2 whites showed up on 7/18 and the black showed up on 7/28. All done. Good luck all...until next year.

I'm still on backorder this morning last i knew i was #2 in the queue i placed my order on 7/21 it appears many orders were shipped yesterday but not mine i may have to stop into my store today to see whats going on.

Were you able to see your queue placement today? Queue website has been down for me since last night. So anxious to see if I've advanced at all... :confused:

No i haven't been able to get onto the queue iphone site to see if i moved up to #1 i did call my store and they said my order was pending however it still shows backorder on my side.

Does anyone have alternative ways, other than the HereBeTheDragons website, to check on the queue of their Iphone order?

So ATT charges are pending again in my account the status order shows as 0 except for the FRT that is still at 1 and my ATT store said they got a huge shipment in today!! What are my chances that my order is there?! I don't know but it looks like just maybe my wait is over????? I'll keep you posted!

One key thing to look for is that on ATT's site, when your order is shipped or on its way to you, you'll see another column there that has a tracking number in it. When you have that, it is on its way to you.

Okay....should I be more excited? My backorder quantity recently changed from 1 to 0. Anyone know approximatley how soon from that change will it actually ship?

looks like i've moved off of the backorder list i'm hoping mine will ship tonight, its too bad we can't see the queue anymore.

it all depends..... when backorder goes to 0 that means they have the model phone you ordered in stock, but say they have 20 and your # 21 in line your out of luck once those 20 are shiped your backorder would go back to 1.............. Im in the same boat i hope you get yours but ide be a little green with envy if you get yours and i dont get mine lol

Ahhhh.....bummer. What a system! I ordered the 8G on the 28th. When did you order yours?
