Hmm. My order status has been "shipped" with a tracking number since yesterday morning, but I have yet to receive a shipping confirmation email and a text from AT&T that so many people have received.

Should I be worried?

Will they also verify the shipping address? I know I entered it in correctly, but I just want to verify it and refuse to sit on hold for AT&T.
Not sure, mines is shipping to my house and the rep let me confirm my address on her screen when I pre-ordered, also triple-checked on the reciept.

Does anyone else's tracking info from FedEx not say signature required? I ordered from AT&T and it looks like I don't have to sign for this. I'm not worried. In fact I hope this is the case!

I'm about to give them a ring. I did the same thing on my AT&T receipt. Funny thing is that AT&T doesn't include your shipping address on any of the confirm addresses which is odd compared to other companies.

Updates updates :D

I got a tracking number, but the status still shows "In progress" and I haven't got an email from AT&T yet. But at last things are moving :)

Neither Apple nor ATT had as a gargantuan pre-order screw up in past years as they did this year, nor did they ever have as many orders. What they have done in the past is irrelevant. I think they are purposely spreading the deliveries out over 2 days instead of 1 because;

1. Spreads the activations out.
2. Good PR to let some people get their phones 'early'.
3. Doesn't cost them anything. These phones were going to be held in warehouses, so all they had to do is tell the carriers to release half of them for delivery tomorrow afternoon.

I hope I am wrong, and if so will post tomorrow that I was wrong on this forum but I still say you will not get it until Thursday.

does AT&T/FedEx require a signature at home drop off for the iphone?
or if no one is at home will they take it back and try another day?

I've been trying to figure this out myself. However, my tracking information doesn't have signature required listed. So maybe not?

Find myself wondering if a Droid is really that much worse while AT&T continues to ship orders placed after mine and showing mine as backordered.

If FedEx does require a sig (Im sure they do) & no one is home they will leave a door "knocker" or sticker on your door they attempted delivery. You then have the choice to pickup from the warehouse or have redelivery the next business day.

If they required it though it would show on your tracking page. Mine doesn't say that at all.

My phone was just shipped and I have a tracking number but my carrier is "null"

That's the same issue with mine. Just plug in the number into fedex.com if it contains all numbers or into UPS.com if it has letters.

Thanks for the info. Just called and verified that it will indeed come to my job and everything is correct :D

We're in the same boat.

Just got the same response from a FedEx rep on the phone. Said the package "is in [their] possession, and will begin the shipping progress on the 23rd." She told me she did not know when expected delivery will be, but I have my hunches. It seems FedEx is shipping most of these out of Ft. Worth, TX. I live in Lubbock, TX, about an hour flight away. So I'm thinking if it ships tomorrow, it should arrive on time on the 24th. Sure would be great to receive an early one though!
