I have no shipping status as of now. Ordered 10:35am on the 15th.

Rep says "It's just waiting to ship out of the warehouse" Made sure to tell me twice that I could expect it between the 24th and the 28th

Same thing going on with me, only my money was deducted the 16th, but now I'm back to being $323.67 richer. No $1 missing here. I haven't said anything until now, for feat of jinxing it, but my phone was picked up and shipped today. I live in Houton, and from what I can tell via the tracking number I got early this morning (followed by an email from AT&T several hours later...I "checked" the order status on AT&T's site this morning and found the tracking number there), the phone is in Memphis. I want to believe I'm all set and WILL get the phone before July, and perhaps the $323.67 will be deducted for real within the next few days.

I am in Odessa and mine is coming from Fort Worthless. It left at 820pm so it should be here at the fedex depot in Midland by 2am at the latest. It would be nice to get it for free but I am sure ATT will get their crap straight when it comes to their cash. You never know, I am just hoping the darn thing arrives in the morning. My fedex guy runs about 10am in our neighborhood since we are pretty close to the depot so if it's not here by lunch I am gonna be worried. I got my phone number that was assigned to my phone(I had to add a line) so I am hoping that makes it a done deal. Guess we will see tomorrow.

Well I am pretty frustrated that my order is still "In Progress". I wont go so far as to say mad because I do realize it is only a phone. However, my wife spent her time in line for me ordering our phones while I was at work. She was 6th in line on the 15th and got our order in at about 10 am Central. I am glad to see everyone that has tracking numbers and even already have their phones in some cases but it becomes frustrating when you see all the order times after yours that have already shipped.

Oh well life goes on. On a happier my wife and I are expecting our first child and we found out today that it is a GIRL! This definitely helps me realize just how insignificant having to wait for a phone really is!

My wife is pregnant with a girl too! In fact the doc told us its a boy and we bought all blue stuff, only to find out on the second scan that he got it wrong and its a girl!

AT&T Should know when the orders are placed (by the order time and the order number).

People who ordered their iPhones on the 16th will be getting their phones tomorrow, while us who stayed up, will get our phones after them.

It doesn't sound like first-come, first-served basis as stated by AT&T.

What is happening is that we are seeing just how the LIFO accounting/inventory (used by most US companies) method works. FIFO and LIFO are just ways in which companies record their sales of inventory.. not how that inventory is actually sold or processed. (ok, I will be a second year accounting student in the fall, so I don't know how to really explain it and I'm not too clear on it myself... but from what I understand, FIFO and LIFO really have nothing to do with how sales are actually processed- it's just a book keeping method, basically.)

nothing had moved on my order since 530 as well, until about 10 minutes ago it updated and said it was in memphis. yours should update in a few minutes I'm assuming. It took them about an hour to actually post it to my tracking info. It got to memphis at 1104 pm, but didn't show on fedex tracking until about 1230am.

No. Mine is too; however, unlike some people, I don't have an estimates delivery date. My tracking info says the phone is in Memphis, and something about billing information.

I am wondering that too! When did yours go from 1 to 0? Mine was around noon today AZ time (mst) I have a feeling we will see it tomorrow afternoon. I saw in the thread people recieved tracking numbers and they were dated the previous day; we have probably already shipped (fingers crossed)

Look, I work for FedEx. Getting a tracking number doesn't mean your package shipped. I can create a label tonight and get a tracking number and hold it for a month and then ship it. If your tracking number doesn't show up on FedEx.com, your package hasn't shipped. We did receive word today that the iPhone shipments would be delivered between the 23rd-26th. Any other news from a FedEx CSR on a tracking that doesn't show in our system is just talk. What worries me about my pre-order is I ordered it on Tue the 15th, got my order confirmation email at 2:08pm Central time, but when I check my order status, my order date has changed from the 15th to the 16th and now the 18th. It doesn't show back ordered anymore, just shows in progress, but the order date keeps changing. Anyone else notice this on their order status?

I take some of this back. It does have to do with how things are sold, but it pertains to the actual ITEM. basically, how they stock the shelves, etc. It really has nothing to do with who those items are sent to and in what order. I can't word it right... but really, it has nothing to do with why people who ordered later are getting their items before people who ordered earlier.
