Beyond pissed off. Got my tracking info and it says delivery on the 24th. And before you guys start telling me to chill out, I want you to put yourselves in my shoes. Yes, I ordered it for the 24th, but that was because that was the earliest I could order it for. I stayed up all night so that I could be one of the first people to get this phone. I have family members who ordered much later in the day and are getting their phones today. Now I have to wait, and I have to hear them talking about their new phones. Besides that, they will activate theirs today, and I will get stuck in the swamp of activations tomorrow. This is absolutely wrong and a terrible way to treat customers.

Anyone preorder theirs for delivery to an AT&T store that's scheduled for today? Know if AT&T is gonna let us pick these up today or will we have to wait for the official release date tmrw?

I bet you they will. Once they arrive. Meaning, since at&t pushed back the walk-in sales until June 29th. Couldn't see why they wouldn't. Plus. The way everything has been panning-out through this whole ordeal. Why not?

ignore it, i've seen fedex delivery's get on @ 9am and make it to grundy county by 10:30am just go with the flow. btw delivery are scheduled for 3PM instead of the usual 10am delivery times which means they may be leaving late anyways.

I live in Kane county, you think it is definitely a possibility?

I mean hell I wasn't even expecting the phone tomorrow let alone getting it today. It will be quite the treat to get it today and I sure would love that.

Well I havent had a fedex package dated for a specific day not deliver that day. I've had them 20-30 mins late but never the next day. Just stay on it. You should have a update in the next 2 hours or so saying its on the truck or not.

If it makes you feel any better I live about 2 hours south of you near Pottstown and am receiving it today. You can drive down and look at it if you want. J/K!

It's really just luck of the draw at this point, you can try to place blame but the truth is the volume was just out of hand and they are doing their best to get the job done. In reality, the faster they get these into our hands, the faster they make cash. If that is not incentive then I don't know what is.

At the very least, you are getting it on the promised date, is that a terrible way to treat a customer?

Thanks good to hear .. my Dad has one from Apple that got into Chicago last night and has a delivery date of tomorrow by 6. It sure will be strange if I get mine before his and his was in Chicago well before mine...
 
I am wondering if AT&T is going to offer a credit or gift certificate to anybody who pre-ordered (early, before the cut-off) and does not get their phone on the 24th?

I am a "premier" customer because the company I work for is a major partner with ATT. Seeing how they have put most of the premier members at the back of the line, I will be making a few calls for sure. I think a card to buy something from an AT&T store is at least something to try to make things right. Then again, it IS AT&T and they could give a s**t less about us.
 
I wouldn't hold your breath. Although I do plan on calling to see. I still don't have the shipped status, so I'm thinking I'll be in that boat even though I ordered at 4:27a CDT on the 15th. Who knows. "First come, first served" is not a language ATT speaks. :)

If ATT doesn't offer a discount, I'll try the long shot with Apple.

As long as I get it on the 24th I don't care - really don't want to camp out and wait in line - but if it doesn't arrive on the 24th they should have at least sent out a Non-shipping email and an option to cancel your "PRE-order" to a credited "POST-order" or inform us that we can either wait it out for delivery 25th-29th OR opt-out of our "pre-order" so we can wait in line and at least have an opportunity to actually get our phones on the 24th.

You could be in the same boat as the other people that ACTUALLY aren't getting one. So yes chill man. You will get it. ;)
 
iPhone is out for delivery!!! Im hoping it gets there quickly. Highland Heights is only 15 minutes away from the Mentor AT&T store, so I hope I can get it today!

For anyone that was curious:
Regular customer, ordered at AT&T store at about 3pm EST on the 15th, pen and paper method, upgrading from iphone 3G.

...Still holding out hope that it will be here on the 24th, was on hold last night FOREVER and that is what I was told, that everything is on track for 24th delivery.
 
Okay WTF? My 2 phones went off backorder at 6pm yesterday and AT&T took my money as well but my no shipping info?! If I don't have them tomorrow I am having my bank pull back the money.

Holy crap chill out. What the hell is wrong with some of you people? Now you won't even be satisfied to receive the phone on the day that you were told you would receive the phone???

i love AT&T ****ing the people that actually ordered within the first hour and have a 17th ship date. Our phones have been sitting at a warehouse for days. Yet people who's phone has a 21st or 22nd ship date on their status will have them tomorrow. Another classic move from AT&T!

news flash read the notes on the order page again you were never charged it was a hold on the money, your moneys still there. If you block the charge AT&T will send a fedex package intercept on the package and youll have no iphone plus be billed for the intercept. you signed and agreed to it when you ordered.

I am in the same boat. This is insane. On a side note, I bought a case/holster combo from an AT&T store to protect my flawless 3GS before I sold it. I had it a week and the damn thing has scratched grooves into the back of my phone! I took it back to AT&T and their response was "we can refund your money but otherwise you are out of luck." They even suggested that I take it to Apple! It was the case they sold me that Apple doesn't sell! What a load of crap!
 
Finally my tracking# pulls up info, simply "Shipment information sent to FedEx". Estimated delivery is tommorow. Gotta' love LIFO.....!!!! Haha whatever, I can't be mad as long as it's here tommorow.
 
yeah i ordered around 11am, i wonder if people who ordered in our time frame got their orders lost.
