Ordering question

I hope someone here can clear this up for me. I want to buy and iPhone 4 but my account is not eligible for the 199 pricing, but my mother's account is. My question is, would I be able to use her upgrade to purchase the phone for 199 and then use it on my account? If it is possible what is the best place to order it from; AT&T or apple? In-store or online? It doesn't matter how long it takes to get it.

I was told you can do this. The only drawback is that you use her upgrade. This was at a ATT store so I suggest going there and asking.

I went to an AT&T store and the girl who "helped" me (if you want to call it that) said they could not do that. But I was thinking of just ordering the phone online and when it hot here cut my sim card to fit the iPhone 4 and cancelljng the data plan on her line but I don't know if that's possible. If not what I was also thinking was goin back to an AT&T store when I receive the phone and telling them to reactivate her old phone so I can return the iphone, then go to another store with the deactivated iPhone and activate it onto m line. Do you think that may work even though it's a hassle? But I think it's worth it if it means I get it for 199 instead of 399.

WTF? How is it clearing so fast for you guys and not me? Beat!

I did notice AT&T put like 4 authorizations through to my account. I wonder what that's about?

I just ordered a 32GB iPhone 4 in an AT&T store Saturday (8/14). They said 5-10 business days, but I got an e-mail this morning saying it's scheduled to be delivered Wednesday (8/18). Shipping out of Texas.
 
It now says backordered. How the hell can that be when orders placed after mine are getting shipped next day? Fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

Premier orders usually take a few extra days to be processed and sent to the normal ATT order queue. Trust me, I've been there!
 
Ordered 32GB iphone 4 from At&t.com: AUGUST 15th at 4pm
Status says that it has shipped: AUGUST 16th at 12pm
Estimated Delivery: AUGUST 18th

I am very impressed with the "speedyness" of this order! This order was placed after I called countless Apple Stores, Best Buys, and Att stores in NYC and not one of them had a single iphone 4. They told me to line up early in the morning each day this week to wait for the shipment to come in, which is insane.

Ordering from At&t is definitely the way to go...

8/16 - received iphone 4 16gb

ATT is your best bet to get iphone faster online

Showing 'In Process' - nothing about it being backordered (yet). I hope I get it before the 10 days they quoted.
