**AT&T iPhone 4 Order Status Thread**

I called AT&T again today since I ordered my iPhone 4 on July 23rd and they informed me there had been a website error and that I would have to reorder. 
They said it would not be here until sometime between August 20th and August 30th. Luckily, the guy at the AT&T store said it only takes 4 to 7 days at the store so I am canceling my order and going to the store.
Thanks for the help. My friend ordered one from the store and it got here in 4 days so hopefully this works.

I ordered from Apple online, was stuck to them because I had a gift card. Listed at 3 weeks, just ordered last week, no status update thus far. Anyone who ordered from Apple online have their orders ship earlier than the 3 weeks?
I ordered mine today (8/10) and mine says 3 weeks as well (31st). This kinda sucks! I know someone that ordered there's like 2 weeks ago and got it 4 days later!
update! the manager at another store (who gave me the exception to upgrade early at the $299 price for 32 gb phones since my full upgrade date was 9/26) has said he will hold two for me to pick up tomorrow morning! So at 10 AM I should be holding my new iphone 4 finally after almost a month of waiting!!! ))
))Bad decision, i bought mine from ATT and it took only 3 days to get to my front door. I ordered 8/8 and it is arriving tomorrow 8/11.

i can see this forum being a great resource to get the most out of the phone!
After I called AT&T about my online order that they said was cancelled even though I ordered it back on July 23rd, they offered to order it for me again. I agreed but later called back and told them to cancel it. Luckily I didn't have to wait 24 to 48 hours to be upgrade eligible and headed to my local AT&T store.
They were able to order my 32 GB iPhone 4 for me and put down an ETA of August 17th. This is MUCH sooner than the vague time frame the website gave me of August 20th to August 30th.
One of my friends was given the same 7 day time frame from the same AT&T store and received his in 4 days.

the stores i called both only got 32gbs in stock. the 16 is definitely harder to get. just fyi.

I ordered my 16GB through the Premier site on 8/5. But I still haven't come off of BO.

I ended up canceling my order through Premier last night for 2 16GB's. It seems that they are stocked up and actively shipping the 32GB model. I'm strongly considering just placing a new order for one of those and crossing my fingers for a 1 week turn around.
I hate that you did that. I ordered mine through Premier 8/5 at 7:20pm. Mine (16gb) went off B/O sometime after 3am this morning and I got my FedEx shipping info at 7:45. It will arrive sometime tomorrow before 3pm. They are saying 5-6 days to get off of B/O and then they ship after that.
I ordered my wife a 16GB on Saturday 8/7. I got my order confirmation this morning and my shipment confirmation with tracking number less than an hour later.
The tracking number is not yet active, but I'm hoping they're sending it overnight so my wife will have it tomorrow!
I had a couple of friends order via apple and apple's lead times are fairly accurate. It seems that apple can accurately reflect time from factory to consumer, whereas AT&T sends them if they have them. I would imagine that AT&T's lead times are accurate if they don't have any sitting in their warehouses.

Thanks for all whom reply, I went on a hunt for the phones and lucked out, bought 3 at Apple retailer; they had just received a delivery of them! and bought the 4th one at a Best Buy yesterday.

Now lets see how long you need to wait for the free Cases ordered, has anyone tried the insurance packages on these as of yet? AT&T recommends one but it's 11.99p/m plus $199 to replace the phone in the event of loss or theft.....

not only did I get my phones at AT&T store this morning, they are fresh off the presses! my serial numbers start with 88032 which means they were made between Sunday and now... totally happy.
I can lose some signal by closing the gap, but at most I lose 1 bar and I have to hold my finger there for 15 seconds or so. I am also on the 5th floor of an office building, towards the middle of the building with no windows...
