I'm seriously starting to think there is something wrong with our orders if they are still backordered. I've called AT&T twice about it, but of course, they can't tell me anything. If I don't have shipping information by tomorrow night, then I'll strongly consider canceling my pre-order and trying my luck at an AT&T store Friday morning.
I hate to b the guy to break the bad news but apparently I got off the phone earlier today with an AT&T rep who told me the time you "ordered" your phone differs from the time you received the "AT&T processed email" .... In my case... I ordered 2 phones in 2 separate orders
1 32gb black
1 64gb white...
Both were ordered online at 4:10am EST.... Then I had fraud alert and cleared it OVER THE PHONE WITH AN AT&T REP! Who clearly stated that both orders went through at 11am on 10/07/11.... About an hour later I get the confirmation email from AT&T confirming they processed one order... And then I get the second emal... On 10/10/11 at 1:30pm....
Because they decided to process one faster than the other (which doesn't make sense since I cleared it over the phone with an AT&T associate AT THE SAME TIME!.... Only one of my phones was shipped and now the other stays back ordered....
Go back through your emails and look for the date and time it was "processed" email.... It's different from the confirmation email that u get immediately after u placed the order...
Based on the date from the second email... If your order was processed after 5:30pm on 10/07/11 then ur getting the second shipment... Doesn't matter if u ordered it earlier... It matters about the time it was "processed" by AT&T....
Due to the fact that AT&T decided to process my 2nd phone 3 days late.... I am know having to expect my second order between the 21-28 day gap.... FUN!!! (sarcasm)
After all the run around I got from AT&T... This was the most useful information I received after all the crap I had to deal with.... And unfortunately it wasn't what I wanted to hear....
If you're still in back order by now.... Face it... We're not getting it on launch.... Unless by some miracle they process it over night... But that would b wishful thinking coming from AT&T....
