Well my tracking just updated and shows delivery on Friday before 3pm min is in Dallas and I live in so CA so people can go to sleep now!

Doesn't seem like anyone's Fedex tracking numbers (mine included) have started working yet.

I hate to b the guy to break the bad news but apparently I got off the phone earlier today with an AT&T rep who told me the time you "ordered" your phone differs from the time you received the "AT&T processed email" .... In my case... I ordered 2 phones in 2 separate orders

1 32gb black
1 64gb white...

Both were ordered online at 4:10am EST.... Then I had fraud alert and cleared it OVER THE PHONE WITH AN AT&T REP! Who clearly stated that both orders went through at 11am on 10/07/11.... About an hour later I get the confirmation email from AT&T confirming they processed one order... And then I get the second emal... On 10/10/11 at 1:30pm....

Because they decided to process one faster than the other (which doesn't make sense since I cleared it over the phone with an AT&T associate AT THE SAME TIME!.... Only one of my phones was shipped and now the other stays back ordered....

Go back through your emails and look for the date and time it was "processed" email.... It's different from the confirmation email that u get immediately after u placed the order...

Based on the date from the second email... If your order was processed after 5:30pm on 10/07/11 then ur getting the second shipment... Doesn't matter if u ordered it earlier... It matters about the time it was "processed" by AT&T....

Due to the fact that AT&T decided to process my 2nd phone 3 days late.... I am know having to expect my second order between the 21-28 day gap.... FUN!!! (sarcasm)

After all the run around I got from AT&T... This was the most useful information I received after all the crap I had to deal with.... And unfortunately it wasn't what I wanted to hear....

If you're still in back order by now.... Face it... We're not getting it on launch.... Unless by some miracle they process it over night... But that would b wishful thinking coming from AT&T....

Strange. I ordered at 10:30 am Central time (10/7) and got a "Processed" email less than an hour later.

My UPS tracking number now indicates "Agent Pickup" status in Memphis, TN. I was hoping the origin would be DFW since that's where I am, but no dice.

Interestingly though, the people who are reporting their shipments being in Dallas are also reporting a service type of Next Day Air Saver (code 13, I think). Mine is Next Day Air (code 01).

I suppose I'll check the tracking report in the morning and decide if I'm going to work from home tomorrow or not. :D

I think I'll get groceries Thursday...I'm not leaving the house until my baby shows up at the door!!!

this is so strange... i used my number to check the order status and got the two previous phones i had but no indication of any status of my iPhone

I have a White 32 GB that has shipped (ordered around 8:30 AM PST)
My brother ordered a White 16 GB (ordered around 9:00 AM PST) that's backordered.

Anybody else still have 1 under QTY-BACKORDERED?

Still "In Progress" with "1" under QTY Backordered. Ordered online AT&T 2 AM PST on the 7th.

AT&T Rep told me today there might be a problem filling the 64GB models.

Ordered before 2 AM PST on Oct 7th. My status is still "In Process";
First email stating ready to ship: October 7, 2011 1:53:49 AM PDT
Second email stating shipped to warehouse: October 7, 2011 4:09:44 PM PDT

Again, the AT&T rep at the local store told me there might be a problem with the 64GB models being shipped on time.

Which one did you NOT get shipped?

Tracking number from UPS updated not too long ago. Too bad I wont be home on Friday to play with my new phone. Good luck to everyone!

I'm in the same situation. I just called a rep who said I should still expect it on the 14th, so take that for what it's worth (not much).
