FedEx tracking went live for me in the early morning. Right now my 4S is chilling in Fort Worth having some fajitas until it's trip to PR; FedEx tracking says I should receive it by tomorrow @ 2pm. I ordered on the 7th ~7am east time w/ Premier. I ordered early morning on the 7th as well, and my AT&T order status page says the 8th. I don't pay much attention to this though.
Hopefully I'll get a tracking number today!
Unfortunately I've only received 2 emails from AT&T about the order. One was the order confirmation at 5:05 AM Eastern on 10/7. The second was the one to call and fix the billing issue. CSRs we spoke with prior to the billing problem e-mail insisted we didn't even have an order. The CSR who contacted us about the billing issue indicates that the CSRs we spoke to previously were an international call center who didn't have sufficient data to even see the problem, but we should still expect the phone on the 14th
I took her at her word on that, but since then there have been no further emails, no indication of shipping movement, nothing. If there is nothing more in my inbox or in the various status pages by the time I get home this afternoon we're calling the CSR who fixed the billing issue.
There is no rhyme or reason to the iPhone orders. The 4:30pm EST cut-off is a lie. Simply not true. I ordered mine in an AT&T corporate store at 10:30am EST. I was the 3rd person to pre-order at that store. And mine is still backordered. Then there are people who ordered Saturday whose iPhone has shipped....
FedEx is holding my stuff. I can't wait to see it released for shipment today. Should be at my door by 3PM tomorrow. Hopefully not that late!

That means you have the OPTION to have them hold it. Hence, "shipment OPTIONS."

the guy i spoke to said mine is processed and says backordered because it will ship tomorrow, but that i have overnight shipping through fedex. Hopefully it ships tonight like one of you had said and i'll have it tomorrow!!
Ok, question. I have shipping info, tracking info, it's in Texas on Next Day Air to me for delivery tomorrow by 3pm. The transaction is gone from my bank now, though. As in, the money was NOT taken out. It was pending this entire time and now my account is bloated by the amount of the phone. Should I do anything?
Oh I know. But I am near them - stuff that ships Fedex to Fort Worth seems to usually go out on local delivery from there, including to me in Dallas.
Then again, just due to the fact that I want it tonight and it would be much more convenient to get it tonight (have to drive to Austin tomorrow afternoon), it'll probably show up late tomorrow
not that I'm complaining!totally agree. People order 10pm friday, even saturday morning had it shipped already. There's no reason why they didn't ship ours yet. Except they want to xxxx us up~ the RANDOM shipment thing....

I love that fedex gives you an est. delivery time. Any time I order UPS it just says "by end of day" which in my neighborhood means 6 or 7. Will be impatiently waiting till 3:00 tomorrow!
I haven't read all the posts yet, but I ordered iP4S phones for my parents and they received FedEx tracking numbers last night around 8pm PST. I checked for them. Delivery is scheduled for Friday for them too.
No, the money was on hold, which only lasts a few days, you will be charged the full amount soon.
i ordered my phone with family account, so by default, it was getting shipped home. i called them up and had the address changed. yesterday, i got two emails. one was "AT&T Premier Order Update", and it said "Your order will be delivered to the following address: xxx", which was the correct address here in columbus.
then, i got the second email that gave me a fedex tracking number. it was not working all day, but that's usually normal. today, it's working, but it has "destination: northfield, OH", NOT columbus, OH as i had changed it too! (northfield is home address)
this actually happened to both orders i changed the addresses to!

Yea, this happened a couple of years ago when I ordered my 3gs, for awhile a thought I got it for free - fat chance.
ATT Phone preorder- still no update
Long time lurker here, first time poster.
I ordered my 32gb through the telephone on the 7th at 7 a.m central. I did so because I was worried about losing my unlimited data package. The primary reason was due to not being able to pick a different shipping address than my billing address on both ATT and Apple's websites. I assumed doing it over the phone would be the safe bet. Seems like I may be wrong.
I received the T&C email and replied back on Sunday afternoon. I then got an order confirmation from email on the 10th with no information regarding shipping dates. It only showed an order number, shipping order number, and the item number for my phone. Every time I try to check my order status online, the site shows the error message that I haven't placed an order within 24 hours. I do have two pending charges on my credit card still. Both charges for the phone and a $1 charge are pending from 10/7 still.
I have called ATT and I can't get a common answer from anybody. One rep said they do not ship overnight, to expect a shipment during a 5-7 window, and that it is not possible that anybody has received tracking numbers yet. Another rep has told me that I have it reserved, I would receive it on the 14th, and that somebody would call me yesterday to give me an update and explanation as to why I can't check the status. I never got the phone call.
I have only seen one other person that is in a similar position. Anybody else out there like me? I am in Fort Worth so I am still hoping I will get the phone by Friday.

Is the status system showing processed or did the AT&T guy tell you that it is processed. Mine is showing processing and backordered but no estimated delivery date. I ordered on 10/7, received confirmation email on 10/7; checked status for 3 days not showing up. Called AT&T on 10/10 and they did not have record of order. On 10/10 at 8:00pm received confirmation email from AT&T with the original order number but it shows that I placed my order on 10/10/2011 and not 10/7/2011. No one at AT&T can tell me when I can expect my phone. They said that there was a system problem and there are many customers who have an order number that begins with 1401 that this happened to...I have no idea when to expect the shipping of my phone and AT&T could care less.
