My FEDEX tracking number is working today also. Tracking shows the phone is in transit and has left Fort Worth, TX. It says it should arrive to me in western new york tomorrow by 3:00pm.
 
My lord, people, it's a phone. One they had twice the number of pre-orders for over the previous launch. Would I be a little peeved if mine wasn't coming tomorrow? Yeah, I'd be bummed, but I wouldn't be irate, and I wouldn't be threatening that AT&T will 'rue the day.' I mean, come on, it's a phone. I understand some people are on older devices, but it's especially funny when someone is coming from an iPhone 4. Do I want my phone tomorrow? Heck yes. But I wouldn't be throwing a temper tantrum and freaking out if I had to wait a week or two.
 
god what a cluster eff. you suck at&t. way to NOT change my shipping address. one address will be about 1300 miles off. good job at&t!!!
 
i have a question; i ordered the iphone 4s under a different # under my contract that was eligible, how will i activate the iphone (with the number i ordered it with, or my number?) Thanks

I now have $320.89 more in my checking account than yesterday. My iPhone purchase has disappeared and I've been credited. Still on back order after an early 7th order.

um....

i ordered my phone with family account, so by default, it was getting shipped home. i called them up and had the address changed. yesterday, i got two emails. one was "AT&T Premier Order Update", and it said "Your order will be delivered to the following address: xxx", which was the correct address here in columbus.

then, i got the second email that gave me a fedex tracking number. it was not working all day, but that's usually normal. today, it's working, but it has "destination: northfield, OH", NOT columbus, OH as i had changed it too! (northfield is home address)

this actually happened to both orders i changed the addresses to!

WTF and what to do?

Call FedEx and give them the updated address. Have your tracking number when you call.

Call AT&T when you get the phone (or do a search...I found a number (that I don't have handy now) that you can call to activate the phone on a different phone number than the upgrade line.) They're pretty adept at this stuff.

I'm going to have to do something as well, though not quite the same, as my iPhone 4S is on my line, so that will be fine, but I'm giving my iPhone 4 to my wife, who has a 3Gs. So I'll need to get a new SIM for her, for the iPhone 4.
 
My Fedex tracking number wasn't working, but I noticed that it would show up in the Top Sites page in safari. So after clearing the cache, the tracking number finally worked. Looks like I'm getting the phone today!!
 
can anyone shed some light on this for me:


i am most probably not going to be getting my phone tomorrow though i ordered over the phone friday morning.

i have another member on my family plan who is eligible for a full upgrade. if i use that upgrade in an apple store tomorrow and get a phone, can i simply put my sim in that new phone and when mine arrives put his sim in my original phone?

att has told me its too late to cancel.

I am still stuck in back order.. Ordered via ATT Store at 10:30 AM EST on 10/7 ... Order confirmed on 10/07.... Status on ATT website still says Back Ordered.

Fading hope that I will get the phone tomorrow but still crossing fingers.
 
Mine is shipping via UPS. Their website states you can have it held at the facility for pickup. Since I have to work, I'm tempted to do this, but I'm afraid they'll hold it in Texas or it'll get messed up some other way. Is anyone else going to request UPS hold it since they will be at work Friday?

Ship something from Amazon and try to change your address once the package is in transit. You can't.

C'mon people. Use common sense.

That's ridiculous. Did you ask for a manager at AT&T? I'd keep pressing until they did something. Sorry and good luck!

you have no idea what i've been through. i spent 7 hours on the phone with AT&T on monday because they botched up our credit card info. through all of that they managed to add two extra orders under my line - that's right, somehow they allowed me to upgrade twice under both lines so we're getting 4 phones total. if they hadn't messed things up to begin with and i'd only spent an hour or two on the phone, i probably wouldn't be so upset. not to mention through all of this, what really gets under my skin, is that the only sympathy i've received from them is "i apologize for that." that's it? 7 hours out of 24 spent on your phone line, i've been a customer since 1998 and all i get is "I apologize" over and over again? Could you at least offer to waive my outlandish upgrade fee? no. at&t has handled this with a keystone cop mentality since friday.

anyway...back to reality. :)

Common sense? I disagree. I have had to reroute packages through FedEx at my job and they have done it several times, and it was simple. What's the difference if you are an individual and not a corporation? You have an order, you have a tracking number - they know exactly where the pacakge is. They most certainly should reroute it for you.

yea great, cept i gave ATT the right addresses, they had it in their follow up emails, yet somehow it's now getting shipped to original incorrect addys.

Only if the package is still in the warehouse or somewhere where they can change it before it ships. If the package is in route you will most certainly not be able to do this.

Which status? The AT&T Premier order status? The UPS status?

Premier is showing as Shipped.

Not sure for those who will receive the phone tomorrow, I just checked my FedEx tracking and is in transit from Fort Worth, TX.
