AT&T: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

They seem to ship from ATTs Ft worth warehouse to FedEx Ft Worth and then to the Fedex Memphis distribution center and then scatter to the windIf the phone shipped from China too late to get to the Ft Worth warehouse, they just hold it in Memphis before the scatter phase. Mine started in Ft Worth and is now in Memphis.
Mine was never in Ft. Worth. The origin scan was in Memphis... now in Louisville.
This is directly from FedEx's Help menu in the shipment tracking area. So according to them, if you do not have anything in the Shipment Facts section regarding signatures, then a signature won't be required.
Mine says by end of day (8 pm) instead of 3 pm.
So folks, I tried to order from AT&T as a new customer but failed due to a bogus identity issue (and flagged for next 45 days). I was about to give up getting AT&T iphone 6s and getting a different carrier (and model) as I want one by early Oct, but I do see one other option: best buy (for early Oct delivery).
I am sure folks here commented about it, but they charge $50 premium for no reason what so ever (well, other than because they can). I was assured that I could get that removed if I go to the store, but then it's still extra step and I will still end up paying $5 or so more as the tax will be based on $50 premium price.
Not sure if it is worth all this trouble for this LTE 30 band model. I can get the other carrier phone so much easier, but if you don't have an existing AT&T account already and want to pay in full? Apparently they don't want your business. There is no other explanation for it.

Same here. I'm in MD - about 20-30 mins outside of DC. I won't be at the house b/w 10-3 so I am hopeful the phone will arrive late in the PM.

Signed up just to post my details. Preordered on 9/12 at 3:58am. I just got a confirmation that my iPhone 6s Plus Space Gray 64gb just shipped at 10am this morning. It will be here tomorrow by FedEx by 8pm. I am on Premier as well.

my colleague has experience in the past that he never receive any shipping notification or tracking number, but he did received the phone on launched day. So, let's see~~
I received an e mail from AT&T that I will get my 64gb SG iphone tomorrow by 8pm on FedEX this morning

There's not remotely enough data to lead to that conclusion.
Picture, in your head, one million phones. What does that even look like? They aren't all processed and shipped auto-magically and instantaneously... even with robotic equipment and other such technology, it takes time to get through all of those. And AT&T probably has a lot more than just one million phones...
