The 10/23-10/30 wave is basically the 9/25 shipping date, AT&T put the higher demand phone in this range right away in case of shortages, screen issues limit stock, etc. The 10/23-10/30 wave will be the second wave to get their iPhone 6S +, wouldn't be surprised if a few people in those ranges got some early next week with everyone canceling orders thinking they won't come in time.
I think those of us who don't receive any new information in the next 8-10 hours will miss the launch day. Hoping that means early next week and not Oct 16-23rd.
This is so good to know! I was worried it would require a signature, as no one is going to be home at the time of delivery, and I'm not acquainted with the neighbors.. Mine is being delivered in the eastern OKC area and does not indicate signature required! It looks like if you go to the FedEX tracking page, it would say something about a signature requirement under Shipment Facts (if you click the Help icon on the page, it says this is supposed to be true). My order doesn't say anything there. Curious if anyone else's does, and as you say, it depends on where they live. I live out in the boondocks for the most part so I'd be fine with it just being left there.
Space Gray, Sorry. Have you had movement on your color?
I work in logistics and actually that is the way it works. Order first by location second. It all depends on what items were available when shipping out.
looks like the 6S+ 64GB are being push out now.......hanging there, should hear the good news shortly.....i hope![]()
Well I work in logistics too and what the previous poster is saying is true. Just because your order was in first does not mean you would or should get a shipping notification first. True, phones should be allocated in order but it doesn't mean they will be picked at the warehouse and shipped first. That's completely separate. Say you have 10 orders in the system, 1 thru 10. You allocate 10 phones to those orders and hand off the pick slip to the warehouse team. How they pick those 10 orders is up to them, usually by the goods' location in the warehouse. If order #10's item is right next to them they are not going to walk across the warehouse to pick and ship item #1--they are going to grab #10 while they are there. Systems can and are very sophisticated these days to direct warehouse workers inside the warehouse one location at a time, in a manner that makes the most sense for them, which usually is not to zig-zag around the warehouse. That's just dumb.
When it comes down to it, I would say it's pretty safe to assume that many of us will have our phones by Tuesday of next week. That's great, at least it isn't October. But what kills me is that there are so many shipping out that ordered AFTER me. People keep saying what's the big deal, well, THAT is the big deal. I deserve my phone before someone who ordered hours after me. I don't think it's so bizarre to be salty when this shady business is going on. Yay for you, I guess, but that's totally unfair to me.
I think I might have seen 1 128gb RG 6s+ shipped, where are you seeing "so many"?
