The 10/23-10/30 wave is basically the 9/25 shipping date, AT&T put the higher demand phone in this range right away in case of shortages, screen issues limit stock, etc. The 10/23-10/30 wave will be the second wave to get their iPhone 6S +, wouldn't be surprised if a few people in those ranges got some early next week with everyone canceling orders thinking they won't come in time.
I think those of us who don't receive any new information in the next 8-10 hours will miss the launch day. Hoping that means early next week and not Oct 16-23rd.

I think if we have that Oct 16-23 then we're part of the first wave, meaning if we don't make launch day we should get some movement early next week. It seems that the second wave of phones has the tentative late October range, so hypothetically if our ship dates get pushed back to that range then they probably just ran out of wave one units to satisfy.

It looks like if you go to the FedEX tracking page, it would say something about a signature requirement under Shipment Facts (if you click the Help icon on the page, it says this is supposed to be true). My order doesn't say anything there. Curious if anyone else's does, and as you say, it depends on where they live. I live out in the boondocks for the most part so I'd be fine with it just being left there.
This is so good to know! I was worried it would require a signature, as no one is going to be home at the time of delivery, and I'm not acquainted with the neighbors.. Mine is being delivered in the eastern OKC area and does not indicate signature required!

Space Gray, Sorry. Have you had movement on your color?

No I haven't. Rose Gold But I ordered mine on the 15th. It has an estimated shipping date of Sept 29- Oct 6. So if it doesn't come in until next week, its no biggie. I'm just hoping that they will start filling the ones ordered before mine and then mine will get shipped early.

I work in logistics and actually that is the way it works. Order first by location second. It all depends on what items were available when shipping out.

Well I work in logistics too and what the previous poster is saying is true. Just because your order was in first does not mean you would or should get a shipping notification first. True, phones should be allocated in order but it doesn't mean they will be picked at the warehouse and shipped first. That's completely separate. Say you have 10 orders in the system, 1 thru 10. You allocate 10 phones to those orders and hand off the pick slip to the warehouse team. How they pick those 10 orders is up to them, usually by the goods' location in the warehouse. If order #10's item is right next to them they are not going to walk across the warehouse to pick and ship item #1--they are going to grab #10 while they are there. Alternately, systems can and sometimes are very sophisticated these days to direct warehouse workers inside the warehouse one location at a time, in a manner that makes the most sense for them, which usually is not to zig-zag around the warehouse. That's just dumb.

looks like the 6S+ 64GB are being push out now.......hanging there, should hear the good news shortly.....i hope :(

Thank you for being the most sensible poster in here.

When it comes down to it, I would say it's pretty safe to assume that many of us will have our phones by Tuesday of next week. That's great, at least it isn't October. But what kills me is that there are so many shipping out that ordered AFTER me. People keep saying what's the big deal, well, THAT is the big deal. I deserve my phone before someone who ordered hours after me. I don't think it's so bizarre to be salty when this shady business is going on. Yay for you, I guess, but that's totally unfair to me.

Yeah, I also work in logistics. The explanation of how the orders are picked is accurate.

However, I'm seeing orders with the same config I ordered (one ordered later than me) get tracking, and my order is still sitting in limbo- I can even still cancel it at this point. :/ If my order had gone to "unable to cancel" I'd feel much better.

FEDEX update today...

"Customize Delivery" option goes live, and...

9/24/2015 - Thursday
4:47 am Shipment information sent to FedEx

I think I might have seen 1 128gb RG 6s+ shipped, where are you seeing "so many"?

i've been lurking for a few days and thought i'd chime in now.

i ordered the 6s+, rose gold, 64gb at 3:17am ET (9/12 - got onto att.com at around 2:58am, but chrome and firefox weren't loading correctly. didn't think to switch to safari for about 15 min).

anyway, i have a premier account (2-yr contract) and am having the phone shipped to jersey city. i have had no change in shipping status, still says 10/16-23.

i'd like to get the phone tomorrow, but next week would be fine too. i'll be sad if i really have to wait until 10/16, though.

It seems that UPS hasn't blocked the option of having the package held for pickup. Is anyone opting to have theirs held? I'm not sure if I should do that or just wait at home. Knowing that there will be a lot of deliveries tomorrow, UPS may or may not come late..

FINALLY my Gold 6S+ 64GB plus shipped about an hour ago. Shipped through FedEx, but it shows up as "Not found" on their site.

on the fedex tracking number it doesnt say a signature is squared, this means they can leave it if im not home right ?

I think so. I just spoke to Fedex and they confirmed that signature is not required for my package and it is to the discretion of the driver to leave the package or not.

Ordered mine yesterday over lunch at the AT&T store here in Birmingham, AL. Space grey 6S. Got the email this morning that my phone had shipped and that I should expect it by 3pm tomorrow. We'll see what happens tomorrow, but I would NEVER have expected a 2 day turn around on a release day.

I'm hoping Fedex isn't going to require a signature tomorrow or the option to hold at a Fedex facility becomes enabled once the package starts to actually be in transit
