BEWARE!
I pre-ordered a 128GB SG iPhone 6s Plus at 0300 and 13 seconds EST on Sept. 12th 2015. Delivery is for Southern California. Original shipping date was Oct 16-23 like everyone's else's. I waited patiently for a tracking number. This tracking number never came. I did have a credit card pending charge that cleared days later. I received multiple confirmation emails that stated my order was successful. My order number pulled up my order status when visited. Everything seemed perfect, except no launch day shipping number.
Today I was informed that my order was not successful! AT&T rep stated that I would have had to wait until they found the error. He stated that the order looked valid, but never would have made it to the warehouse for shipping! Normally when you cancel an order that is for a 2 year contract, it takes 24 hours before the cancellation is completed and a new under contract order can take place. Again, this is from the AT&T rep. He suggested that I cancel my order and purchase an iPhone 6s Plus in person at the AT&T store if I want to have one today.
I contacted customer service multiple times to ask about shipping dates. At no time was it discovered that my order was not valid until they attempted to look the order up via phone number, not order number. Since the phone number was never linked to the purchase, it was deemed a non-valid order and would have never shipped even though every other check passed!
I am pissed.
