AT&T: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

The local store sold out of any plus models this morning. I suppose I'll continue to wait.
So here's a fun little story.
It's 1:30pm here. My tracking info still maintains that I will see my phone on Monday. I moseyed on over to the AT&T store a half-mile from my house and asked if they had any of my model in stock. They did. "We haven't been too busy," she said.
So I told her that I had preordered online two weeks ago, that my device had already shipped, but was scheduled for delivery on Monday, and I asked her what the chances were of being able to cancel the online order and buy one of the ones they had in stock instead. She said what I knew she would say - you can't cancel the order once it's shipped.
So I called AT&T and gave them all of these details - the phone I ordered will be here Monday, the same phone is available in-store, but I can't buy it there because my online order already shipped. I told her that basically, because I preordered, I will not be able to have a new phone today. I asked her if she could waive the $15 upgrade fee as recompense.
She couldn't, because it hadn't been charged to my account yet... but she did add a $15 credit to my account to thank my for my loyalty to AT&T (I've been with them for over 10 years). The upgrade fee will still appear on my next bill, but it will be offset by the credit.
Maybe I could have asked for more, I don't know, but I'm happy enough. I'll have my phone on Monday and I saved a bit of money.
$15? My upgrade fee is like $40! Is that not standard?
I pre ordered. Sat at home working and "ding" fedex hand delivered. No going to the ****** ATT store, etc. oh and I saved gas.

Where is this warehouse they talk about!? You and I must have our phones sitting there in some dusty corner.
I was also told that ATT's site crashed and that affected the orders. I just want my phone...that's it.
It's $15 if you pay for the device in full or do AT&T Next and $45 for one or two year contracts.
I got my phone a couple of hours ago but ran into a snag..it wasn't seeing my icloud backup. I've done several upgrades and never had a problem with restoring from the cloud. But this time was a no go..So I stopped at the point where the setup assistant prompts you to restore the backup while I manually backup my old phone to itunes so I can restore from that. I guess it will be faster, but is a pain because I have to use a Windows computer as my Macbook doesn't have enough room for the backup.
Could you share a copy of your receipt so I can shove it down AT&T's throat?
Thanks for the info! Doesn't look like we'll be getting them today despite having a 09/25 delivery date. I checked flightaware and the plane that left Memphis to HNL isn't scheduled to arrive till after 6:30pm. Since our packages only qualify for weekday delivery... I guess Monday it is.
Again, mahalo for the info. Gotta survive one more weekend with my 5s. Oh well... I'm just glad my gold 6s plus even shipped. Monday delivery is much better than waiting till Oct.

It said because of high activity it would take up to 2 hours. I restarted my old 5S and the new 6S after about 10 minutes and I was good to go.

So I got a notice yesterday with my tracking number.. It was in Texas at 5pm.. then the last update was memphis Tennessee at 430 am even though its going to Utah... no movement since... I hope that there just hasn't been any updates and its out for delivery. Still says today by 8 pm .. Anyone else stuck in Memphis...
Well Crap... just looked at my shipment and it says it left Memphis Tn at 326pm...lame sigh... I guess monday

Yeah, I checked on the Plus stock a few days ago. They told me that they weren't getting any 6s Plus models in.
Glad my Oct- 16 - Oct. 23 date changed and will getting mine (128 gb Space Gray 6s Plus) Monday.
Yea. Me too. I'm finally out of limbo and I know that I should expect my phone on Monday. I'm not really happy that i made my pre-order on the morning of the 12th and I have to go through the weekend without. Now I have to listen to Leo Laporte talk about his new phone on TWIT and I can't play along. I know it's first world problems, but this is my simple joy in life. This little anticipation of the cutting edge. It's how I nerd out. I wanted to have my fun with the rest of you.
