Restart the phone, as in power cycle it. I think I've had to do that with the past three phones I've gotten from AT&T.

They will tell you it can take up to 2 hours. Mine took about 15 minutes.

My iPhone arrived at 3:30 pm today! Took it to the AT&T store to do a cross upgrade with a new SIM card. Tempered glass screen protector is on perfectly and I am loving this thing!! 
Got my 6s Plus (space gray). It's awesome. Coming from a 5s. It's huge but I love it so far. Heading to AT&T for a glass screen protector tonight. Had one on the 5s and it was great, never broke even with drops. Couldn't even see it. The Tech21 case I bought made for the non-s version fits perfect.
Yes. Received phone this morning. Activated and restored back-up from my 6-Plus.
No credit card charge whatsoever yet.
I'm *hoping* it won't hit until Sunday-----billing period ends on Saturday! That would give me a whole 7 more weeks to pay for it.
I had to go to the at&t site to activate it. I also had to turn off the microcell I have for it to see the network..
now that it is activated, it won't see the microcell though (all the other phones in the house are fine connecting) anyone know if there is something one has to do to get that to work? Or is there some network propagation that has to occur?

I'd go online instead so you don't pay too much. Look up Maxboost, they have one for $8 and that includes a lifetime replacement warranty.

I've always just plugged into iTunes and followed the screens. No websites or SIM card switches necessary usually.
Just received shipping notice for 6S+ at 6:30 tonight from AT&T with Fedx Tracking number. Says it is in Fort Worth terminal. Progress? Hope so. Had original ship date like others 10/16-10/23. Ordered 5 min early at order launch. Shipping Fedx to arrive by 8:00pm Monday. Credit Card still shows pending charge. We will just have to see if this plays out. Hope so.
Yeah I can't believe that, I ordered the same model at 3:09 and at least it's being delivered Monday. Yours should have shipped if it is truly first come, first served as they say.
Well the SIM has the number programmed in it so iTunes must deactivate the old SIM and activates the new one behind the scenes.
I mean I guess you could go on AT&T's website to activate it. It wouldn't be my preference.
I'm more of a Gazelle guy but its kind of my thought exactly. I may also end up keeping it... I'm down to no more loaner phones for anyone, and I'm normally the source of 'em for my friends and family.
Upgraded from 5s, got it activated can receive calls and make calls. I can iMessage, but cannot send are receive regular text. I'm not too sure but i don't if the activation is 100%. Anyone else knows?
My phone arrived a little before 5pm it's activated and restoring from iCloud but my card still hasn't been changed.
att.com/activations took two seconds to get the confirmation, then powered the phone off and back on. had service immediately. service was disconnected to the old phone at the same time.
