Oh, and the kick in the teeth? I received an email earlier today from AT&T with the subject line, "active your order online" with no content, just a blank email.
 
My iPhone was scheduled to be delivered 09/25 by 5pm but for whatever reason... the FedEx plane coming to HNL from MEM was delayed and landed an hour and a half after 5pm. Knew then that I would have to wait till Monday to have it delivered. NOPE! So excited that FedEx actually still delivered my phone today despite my order having only "Weekday Delivery." Glad I don't have to use my 5s any longer!

Yup, got mine today too! Guess they made an exception for the Saturday delivery because of the 12 hour delayed flight.

I was able to get AT&T to put a credit on my account equal to the amount of my upgrade fee because the AT&T store a half mile from my house had my model in stock but I couldn't buy it because mine had already shipped so I couldn't cancel the order, meaning I have to wait until Monday.

I think you have a much more valid claim on some sort of credit. You ordered long before many people that received their phones yesterday - even before I ordered mine at two minutes past midnight - and that's not cool. They need to recognize that and make recompense.

It never hurts to ask. It won't get you your phone any faster but at least you can maybe get a little cash out of the ordeal.

yea my only problem is that the closest AT&T store is 45 mins away and the closest apple is an hour...but WAIT..maybe ill go to AT&T tomorrow...im headed that way anyways. I'll chat with them. I feel a lot better talking face to face so i can jut my bottom lip out and whip out my puppy dog eyes and beg. i don't know whats going on. I spoke to two reps and i specifically and only asked if there was anything wrong with my account delaying my shipment...they told me no. i ordered the phone straight to my billing address. i literally can't think of one thing that would hold up why i'm not receiving a phone. maybe they'll at least let me play with one :(

Just the fact that you had to be one of the first people to order a phone and you didn't even make it in to the first wave of shipments is reason enough to ask them to throw you some sort of bone. Like I said, it never hurts to ask.

I'm sorry, I know how deflated you (and others) must feel. I've managed to get over most of my disappointment in not getting the phone on Friday but that's because I know for a fact I'll get it on Monday... without that knowledge I don't honestly know what I'd be doing right now.
 
Ok I was not able or wanting to be up at midnight this year, did that with my 6 Plus last and after all was said and done and all the delays, server issues and such I got my phone in the famous 3rd week of October. Eventually it moved two times and got it week 2 of October. Well this year I waited and a bit of a snafu (ordered at local store that does AT&T) with my next account. On Sunday times were still week 3 But the order got hung and had to Finnish on Tuesday. That put me from October 27 to November 3. But after a few days it moved up to October 20-27 and sat there. Well that is not going to be a good time, I hoped that I might move again like last year. Fast forward came back in town on Friday the 25th. Stopped by the big AT&T store they had a bunch of 6S and 6S plus (128 I wanted) But I would have to cancel my order and wait 24 hours to reorder thru the store and get one of the phones. They would not hold one. So I left

I went to the mall back to the store I ordered thru -- Simply Mac... They had same policy could not hold but would cancel then I could get one and on next when they had more. I decided the date was such and issue I would do that. Well they canceled, no problem then checked and I got instant results and was back to qualified -- something was fast for me on AT&T servers. So long story short I got one of the few (and more were coming soon) space gray 128 GB 6S Pluses. on my next plan and they took my old 6 Plus in trade in and gave me a receipt that said they were now responsible to send it to AT&T and I did not have to do that. Yippe, first iphone I have ever gotten on launch day since I started with the 3 S ;-) Wonderful phone blazing fast, the fingerprint sensor is instantaneous, phone and apps are very fast.

Still learning 3D stuff but cool, and yes the live photos are interesting, but love the quality of the 12 GB camera -- what I was especially interested in. And my cards went right back in to the phone no need to get the banks to activate apple pay. Something is better and different in terms of the security of these phones and what the banks will now do with apple pay. the apple pay is so fast on fingerprint I barely even see the checkmark just hear the ding and transaction is done. Impressive.

Sad to hear about people not getting their shipments on time. I ordered mine thru AT&T at 0301hrs (EST) on the first day of pre-register. Got my phone on the 25th at 1800hrs (EST) via FedEx...and w/o the need of a signature (odd, usually something that expensive requires a signature - but I am not mad - I wasn't home to receive it).

I got the 6s in silver, which seems to be the easiest one to get right now.

Hope you all get your phones soon.

Does anyone know about this premier email I reeived this afternoon that says activate my order online? Even though I still do not have tracking info?

They must be auto generated. I got one today too for my 6s which came yesterday.

Apple Stores start taking reservations at 8AM, your time. So get on that computer and pick the model you want, sign in, and refresh like crazy until your local store shows up, and reserve one if you can. That's the only way I got mine yesterday, AT&T let me down and I ordered mine 2 min after preorders began! We had to drive an hour to get there, but for my sanity it was the best thing to do. Lol! I was waking up like every 2 hours to check my email like a crazy woman.

I was at AT&T last night after I had been to Apple and the AT&T reps were all over my RGD 6s+ like flies because they had not even laid their eyes on one yet! They said they had not gotten any + models in at all.

So get on that computer and pick the model you want, sign in, and refresh like crazy until your local store shows up, and reserve one if you can. That's the only way I got mine yesterday, AT&T let me down and I ordered mine 2 min after preorders began! We had to drive an hour to get there, but for my sanity it was the best thing to do. Lol! I was waking up like every 2 hours to check my email like a crazy woman.
did you get the 2-yr contract?

It gives me the option to and I was told Premier customers still can. Let me log in my account and see what it says. I know last week it was still showing the 6 models with 2 year. See follow up below.
 
Ok so it seems they cannot process it like that @ Apple via online info. Which is silly. (2 year contract). Apple will push their iPhone upgrade program at you, about 2-3 times before they take no for an answer. I honestly didn't try the 2 year upgrade because it makes my plan more costly than just utilizing the Next plan. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
