AT&T: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

"AT&T : We’ve seen tremendous demand for the new iPhone models from the moment they became available to pre-order. Apple and its manufacturing partners are working hard to fulfill the demand. In most cases, orders for the smaller 6s models placed on 9/12 will be delivered on or around 9/25. However, orders for most of the 6s Plus models will ship between 10/16 and 10/23. Both Apple and AT&T are working diligently to fullfil orders as quickly as possible and we’re genuinely sorry for any inconvenience."

He obviously copy/pasted it too, he didn't have ample time to type this on his response.

the only reason why I don't believe this is because Verizon customers that ordered their 6s+ are getting them Friday. why would Verizon and everyone else get them and AT&T wouldn't. this is crazy every rep has a different story

I know I am shocked at the delay. My ship date is quoted at 9/24 and it hasn't even been shipped yet! AT&T must not know what they are doing.
 
My wife's 6s Rose has tracking number now. My 64G SG 6s Plus is still holding at preparing for shipment with the same Oct dates everybody else seems to have since day one. Ordered my phone at 3:01 and her's at 3:09 on pre-order night.
 
my thing is, i ordered the 6S+ 10-15 minutes before the preorder went live. I feel like i HAD to have been within the first at least 500 people to order the rose gold 6S+ 64GB and i have a hard time believing that AT&T was given any less than 1,000 of each model. I'll be super surprised if i don't get my phone this friday, but it's also bothering me that the 6S's order statuses are getting updated and ours are not. Are they shipping theirs firsT? it's discouraging seeing all of the 6S orders changing and the 6S+ are not.... :(

Without reading all the posts in this thread I am assuming most of you didn't order through AT&T last year? I am not guaranteeing how it is going to go this year, but my experience from last year looked exactly the same as it does this year. I ordered within an hour of the start of the presale. Got a mid October ship date. Bellyached with everyone else about when I would get my phone. I did not get it on release day, but I did get it early the following week. I have done and seen the same so far this year as well. I am hoping however that since there has been a 2 week period between presale and release date, rather than 1 week last year, that this has given AT&T and the other vendors more time to get their duck in a row.
 
I've always ordered from AT&T. I'm used to the confusion. I'd like the new phone on the release day but I have 6 plus now so I'm OK with a wait. At this point it's just tech nerd thing for me. :)
 
We should really have separate threads for the 6S and 6S Plus models... everyone that ordered a 6S is going to get it 9/25 or there about since they are still available as of today with no real delay... it's the PLUS model that appears to be getting hung up and has messaging from the carriers that supply was limited.
 
My 6S 64gb Space Grey is now updated to showing shipped with tracking # by FedEx for 8-25 delivery. + buyers, may the screen suppliers be ever in your favor... Or take a hint and just order a normal sized phone next time, not this phablet business;):apple:
 
I ordered my space grey 6s plus at night in store. They promised me it would ship for launch day arrival but no tracking number yet and the shipping date is October 13-26th. Any chance I will still get it friday?

I'm guessing you're new to the thread. Welcome. None of us have any idea whether or not we're getting our 6S+ this week. None of our shipping information has updated except for the 6S's. Most of us ordered ours 9/12.

My 6s Space Gray 64GB went from "Preparing to Ship" to "In Progress". Even though the date still shows Friday. What's up? I may just cancel if there is no movement.
 
My 6s space grey 128gb was shipped with fedex tracking for 9/25 delivery. I ordered 9/16 from att premier.

So here is the thing , I ordered both 6s and 6s plus .. Both space grey 18 minutes before it went live .. They have been preparing to ship since the pre order .. Yesterday right after 12 am , the 6s was marked shipped !! And tracking shows that it was shipped since Sunday overnight .. So we can say that they are being late updating the status of their orders but they actually shipping it pretty much as any other carrier first come first serve basis ( that's for 6s ) .. Now for 6s plus , still showing preparing to ship and will update if something changes ..
