Couple questions. I'm still with AT&T and I bought a 6 on subsidy, so I'm still in contract until Oct of 2016.

I looked at buying a new 6S off contract from Apple store and selected an AT&T off contract price phone. It says during checkout that AT&T will charge $15.00 one time upgrade fee.

Is this right? I'm literally paying for the phone in full and popping in my current sim. Isn't the phone unlocked? Or to get unlocked do I have to go a different route/method (Tmobile version?).

I also checked buying in full from Best Buy, but it brought a 6S+, 64gb from $849 to $899?!?

The phone isn't unlocked. I believe you have to wait 2 weeks before you can request an unlock code from AT&T. They charge you the $15 if you activate the SIM that comes with the phone. I don't think they'll charge you if you just swap in your existing SIM since you paid for the phone in full.

You might avoid it by using the old SIM in the new phone.

I think upgrade fees are charged based on the order even if you don't activate the SIM. I have seen upgrade fees charged before I even got my phone. I'd recommend calling 611 and asking them to give a credit to offset the upgrade fee.

Mine won't go until tomorrow. Next day service included in my Premier account. Hopefully next day shipments will have some delivery priority.

Mine is a Premier order as well hoping to see it ship tonight or tomorrow! Really don't want to wait till the stated 10/16-10/23 time quoted in my order.
 
Posting here for visibility. Although I am a premier customer, I am an individual responsibility customer so I use regular ATT site. I ordered 2 phones. One at 3 AM and one later at 8 AM (after realizing BOTH my lines somehow were eligible for 2 yr upgrade)...

The 3 AM order SHIPPED on the 19th. It's being held in Texas for delivery on Friday in PA.

The 8 AM order is PREPARING TO SHIP, with estimated date to ship for tomorrow 9/24.

Both are Space Grey 64 GB iPhone 6s.
 
Update: RG6s - 64GB shipped. The SG6s - 64GB is still preparing to ship. I had some issues with the second one, and thought they were resolved, hopefully it's just a little behind.

So I shouldn't really expect to get a shipping date for my moms today if hers is Premier and says ship date of 9/24?
 
Can someone be real with me. I pre ordered on the 12th at around 11am central. Ordered the iPhone 6S plus, 64GB, gold. Got the October date of course. I called some number and it said my order was "processed" and they said it was in the warehouse waiting to be shipped and I couldn't cancel my order. Is there any chance I can get it Friday or by next week? I really don't think we will have to wait a month but this is my first pre order so I don't know. No updates btw.

Nothing is a guarantee, but I am betting you will have it Friday, or at the latest early next week. This all happened last year too, and most people got their phones launch day or a few days after.

I just chatted with a rep. this is what he/she said

the shipping time frame is 25-30 days for 6s Plus. The rep recommend that on the 25th, that I can go to store if you can get your order there however it is also depend on the availability of the stock.
