Probably unless you have premium my choice and can leave with someone. I dont think they allow e-sign. Fedex has done it in the past but not UPS.

you would be an idiot if you didn't do the trade at the store and got a receipt
I lost my iPhone 6 with the trade in box AT&T provided. Never traded in with the box after that. Always trade in at the store
same for me with the Iphone 6 and I wasted 4 or 5 hrs with them to eventually get the credit for the phone .
They charged me initially and had to argue with them for like 5-6 hours. Eventually I asked for the supervisor and they waived off the charges.
you never mail it back? AT&T store takes the trade in? Seems like the line would be really long on release day
I too have had trouble getting credits when I shipped the trade in back. It was because I used what I had thought was the trade in kit, but it was the return label that came with the new phone! There was only one label…

It is always wise to trade it in the store. Hassle free return and instant credit if it is apple or you will have confirmation if it is carrier.
This was like 4 years ago. I have since only brought to store. Just warning people not to use the label in the new iPhone box if they must ship. Even though they claim it’s for a trade in.
Anybody else’s order get a random delay? It’s been saying it’ll come the 19th since it shipped with FedEx days ago. It's currently like 30 minutes from my house. Then a few hours ago it says the tracking was “updated”, not delayed or anything. Literally ZERO details on the page, and says it’s now scheduled for MONDAY the 22nd? What the ****? Fedex isn’t open when I try to call.
That is just an estimate that is ALWAYS very conservative.
Apple is having phones made every hour and shipped every day. Yours will more than likely be assembled and shipped much sooner than 7 weeks. This has been true in the past.
That depends on what type of residence you live in.
If you live in a condo or apartment building with a package receiving service, they can sign for UPS.
With FedEx, if it says "Direct Signature Required", you will have to be the one that signs it.
Get on chat with them.
I think the only way a "hold at location" is possible, is if someone logs into your account and actually selects that option.
This is email I got last night - text as well. Nothing in FedEx or UPS. Will call ATT when phone lines open.
Starting to get slightly worried. Phone has been at the sorting facility since 6 PM last night and hasn't moved at all. Sorting facility is a couple hours away from me and I was hoping my estimate of 9 am - 1 pm would be right.
Actually got order in at 7:58 am. Three upgrades - one is out for delivery silver, blue and orange delayed.
