I'm currently living in the US but moving to Japan in February. Last year I bought the IP7+ with AT&T Next. AT&T Next shows I'm eligible for an upgrade at the moment.
If I buy the new iPhone X through the AT&T Next program and pay off the phone prior to my departure, will the iPhone work with Japanese carriers once I've unlocked the device?

EDIT: Since we're at it, same goes for Apple Watch 3 Cellular. There's not a lot of info on the website, the only thing I could find was all the supported bands of the different models. It seems like the USA Apple Watch 3 with Cellular has some bands in common with the one that they'll sell in Japan, but will it work fully given it's missing a few of the bands found in the USA Apple Watch?
