KPOM my friend, you and I are in the same boat. I can really use the unlimited minutes as I am on the phone all the time for work. I would have moved to the new shared plans but then Id have t give up on my unlimited data (which i don't want to do). Please keep us posted on how it works for you.
Well, the "pending upgrade" is gone, but there is still a minute meter. Someone on the thread discussing the UDP price change mentioned that's his situation, as well, and he's been charged overages after using up the rollover minutes pool (though he was able to get retentions to waive the charges).

That was me.

Backstory: for the past two months, the AT&T website has displayed that I have unlimited minutes, but still showed a minute meter. I burned through these minutes and received cost overage charges, which AT&T waived each month after I spoke to them.

After commenting on the forum yesterday, I decided to call AT&T again to figure out what was really going on, calling customer support instead of retention, only this time, they really took a focus to the website, and what it was displaying: the "unlimited minutes" text, even as it showed a minute meter with a finite amount on another page.

The rep I talked to had three different managers with her, and was able to walk through AT&T's site as it would show on my end. They were all baffled. This was the first that any of them had heard about this. They opened up a case for this (I'm assuming it's the same as a help ticket) and told me that they'd research this on their end, saying thanks for the heads-up.

Today, AT&T actually called me (someone from advanced tech support) and then handed me off to a mobility technician. What he said at the end was wonderful, but I don't quite believe it yet: that I had been upgraded on Nov. 22nd to unlimited minutes, and that it'll take a billing cycle for this to show. On one hand, yay! On the other, he had just told me that the "unlimited minutes" text on their website was a glitch, telling me this just minutes before he told me that I had been upgraded.

So I'm not sure if this resolved anything, other than them now having a heads-up that their website is buggy. If what he said really holds true--that I was upgraded to unlimited minutes, which I didn't receive a text or e-mail for, like others have--then I'll be happy, but still, this has all been utterly confusing. I do have to say that everyone I've talked to has been super-nice though.

To summarize:
  • The website still shows me under the Nation 450 With Rollover Plan.
  • I still see a minute meter with a finite number of minutes.
  • If I "View plan details" and drop either one of the dropdowns ("View all included features" or "View cost summary") I see that I have unlimited minutes.
  • I was supposedly just upgraded to unlimited minutes on Nov. 22nd, though I never received a notification for this, as others have.

The Chat agent is telling me I'm still on Nation 450.

I've had the mixed messages with unlimited talk noted but the ticker on minutes still counting there for the last three months. This month I finally used the last of my rollover minutes and was charged an overage. Called the main line, they couldn't resolve but transferred me to retention. There was a bit of confusion about what I needed resolved but eventually the agent got a supervisor to fix my account so it's properly provisioned for unlimited talk and she credited the overage charge back to me. Right after the call I checked my account online and the ticker is gone for talk. So it was instant, not a next billing cycle kind of thing as it now properly notes unlimited everywhere on the site so looks like I'm finally sorted.

That's awesome. My account still shows the ticker. I wish AT&T had a consistent way of dealing with this!
