AT&T should be sliced up into smaller companies again
I don't see why they think they should do this.... Everywhere around the world is not limited and all phones are unlocked like it should be. Has anyone tried to get there phones unlocked by AT&T? and How much trouble have they given you?
AT&T IS NOT LOCKING THE iPAD!![]()
Yes, that is my question -- actually, 1) will Apple make them available and 2) at what price.
Does ATT give out free SIMs? I might try and see if they will give or sell me one. I really don't want to "burn" the universal one as I'm going to London next year and it will come in handy.
Apple should just threaten to take them off the universal sim unless they remove this policy.
But they are locking the sim. It's not theirs, they haven't sold it to me, or leased it to me or even given it to me, but they are rendering it useless for it's intended purpose. Hence property damage, no matter how little the cost.
Or is it ok if the att employees throw gravel at your car bit by bit because it doesn't do much damage?
I assume apple approved this...

You can get AT&T SIMs at any AT&T or Apple store. I was able to pick one up at an AT&T store for free last year, but I also heard that they sometimes charge $10. If you have to use AT&T, I'd highly recommend this as long as we don't know if and for how much Apple offers replacements for the Apple SIM.Does ATT give out free SIMs? It is simple: I often travel internationally and I was hoping that the Apple SIM would eventually allow me to use prepaid offers from carriers abroad without having to hunt down and activate a local SIM in every country (which can be a huge pain). This is of course assuming that more carriers than EE UK would get on board over time, and that none of them follows this misguided AT&T policy ...I really do not understand the outrage.
Your buying a device that costs between approx £400 - £700 pounds and worrying about a sim that is free - £2
When I got my iPad with the universal apple sim , I just threw it out and put in my own sim.
People in the US please explain the issue
