Anyone else have their 20gb changed to 40gb, then be corrected to 20gb, and now back to 10gb again?

That's where I am with att. They can't get their act together, and now I have to wait for this to be "corrected" again. You folks should be checking your data, and make sure its 20gb, for those of you who went from 10gb to 20gb with that promotion.

This is going to sound weird but I had my ex gf do a change of responsibility from my plan to get onto her parents plan. I was worried that my plan would be changed and I would lose my 20GB for 10GB but turns out my plan stayed the same with the whole line transfer process and the in store AT&T rep doing the transfer was on a chat conversation with the retentions department and she offered the 20GB for 10GB to my ex gf's family. They didn't even have to ask and the whole process was easy. Before my gf's family had 10GB and they explained they were having data issues. So from the sounds of it, this plan is still available through retentions because they do in fact have the 20GB for the price of 10GB. Just some food for thought.

I just tried the Verizon match for 15G for 10G Price and it was a No Go. Rep confirmed there was never a 10 for 20 nor do they match Verizon's plans.

Oh well.:(

Make sure it's a retention department rep, and you can keep trying until you get a yes!!

The fact that the rep is saying there was never a 10 for 20 tells me that the rep you spoke with was sadly misinformed, or lying.

Try again and only speak with retentions.

Call again... Even if you hit the prompt for cancel you still need to ask for retentions.

I like others have the 20GB for 10GB price.... So this person doesn't know what they are talking about.

So has anyone had any success purchasing a new phone through Apple since being "upgraded" to the 20GB from the 10GB plan? It looks like I can now order through the ATT site and have things correct, however, if I try to order through Apple, I'm still being forced to pick a new plan. Anyone still having this issue? Also, has anyone tried to buy a new phone from Apple at a retail Apple Store? Are you able to do so and not have plan issues?

Wife needs a new phone, and I want to get it for her for Christmas through Apple so I can get the gift card for the old one. This is getting frustrating.

The 15gb for the price of 10gb is now officially offered at AT&T. So the ones that didn't get 20gb can now go their account and change to 15gb for no extra cost or hassle.

Good find Resendetra!!! Saw your post last night @ 11PM CST and woke up this morning and called to sign up for this promo. Took less than 3 minutes and now I'm receiving 15GB for the price of 10GB.

P.S.

I'm just loving these price wars between the carriers because at the end we win. Must say T-Mobile started a good thing:cool:

I switched to the 15 for the price of 10 this morning on the AT&T site. It came up automatically when I clicked on "Change plan". T-Mobile definitely did a good thing by shaking up the industry.

I just switched as well! I originally opted for the 30gb promo but i wasnt ever even going to come close to that. The 15gb promo is perfect for me! Updated my plan in the at&t app. Love saving money!!!

I'm thinking this *open* offer of 15GB is AT&T throwing the angry crowd a bone and hoping they'll go away.

The fact that so many were comfortable saying they'd cancel and walk in order to get the *secret* 20GB deal must've scared AT&T. They really don't want their customer base adopting that mentality - because it only benefits the customer.

So thank you T-Mobile! Thank you for reminding corporate America what "Competition", "Free Market" and "Customer First" all mean - because they'd completely forgot (or just got lazy).

And to anyone who takes today's 15GB deal: Keep looking for a better deal. Make these companies earn your business. Ultimately, it's good for everyone.

I tried for a week to order through Apple. I finally gave up and ordered through AT&T. The system has to be updated and who knows how long that'll take. AT&T did mention that if I was forced to change the plan via Apple's site that they could fix it later, but I don't trust that.

I was just about to switch myself, or at least close to, in order to take advantage of the 15GB promo. Problem is, it's only one line and for the price, I'd be paying more than what I pay now with my grandfathered UDP + NEXT installments. If I jump on the 6GB I actually save about $10/month but I average a little over 6GB's every month (thank you spotify).

I think I'll just keep holding onto my UDP until something better pops up. If I had more than one phone on my plan I'd jump on that promo in a heartbeat.

T-mobile has done a lot of amazing things.

Just a shame their coverage map still sucks, I looooooooove what they're doing and the CEO is the man.

Exact same thing here. Frustrating as all get out. I'd swap to the 15GB if I thought it'd help and I could use the Apple site, but I'd probably just be giving up 5GB for nothing. Not a fan of ordering through ATT at all.

I would say thank the US government (FCC and Justice Dept) for actually, shockingly doing their jobs for once in the last one hundred years and blocking both T-Mobile/Sprint and T-Mobile/ATT mergers, both of which would have made the oligopoly situation much, much worse and we'd all be paying $200+/month for that 15gigs of data.

I can confirm that I added the 15gb for 10gb plan this morning via ATT.com. Worked like a charm.

Ditto. Took 5 seconds to do it on the MyATT app. Just go to change rate plan in the app and select the 15gb option at no additional cost. Had to close out of the app and reopen to see the applied changes. Thanks ATT for the extra 5gb

Guys and Gals, it's just simple math with ATT "matching 15GB of data for the price of 10GB/$100 mobile share"

ATT has internal data (so this is just an educated guess).

But most "family plans/mobile share" have 4 lines and up. If that's the case and most users are going to use between 2-3GB of data each line each month. That puts 10GB of data for 4 lines very borderline especially in an age where more data is being consumed.

My sister in law is/was a "light data user" Used about 50MB of data/month in 2008 with her iphone 3G, than was using 200MB of data with her iphone 4 in 2010, than ,generally used between 300mb-500mb of data each month on her iphone 5 in 2012. Now she's got the iphone 6 plus, she's using 1.5GB of data last month when she got the phone.

It's just the normal progression of data consumption even from "light users".

This is just a limited time promotion for the holidays. The prices are going back to 10GB/$100 very soon. I don't see any progression unless they were to make the 15GB/$100 plan permanent.

What I see is.

1. Give customers slightly more data for a limited time
2. Grandfather as many customers as you can in these plans
3. Get rid of data promo
4. Profit

It's just a perk for existing costumers and stops them from switching down the road, because they know if they switch to a different company and they end up not liking it and want to switch back, there's no way they'll get back their plan that they had before.

Me too got the 15gb family shared.. is this for life or it expires?

This promo does not apply to data-only 10GB plan (which is $60). Bummer. :(:(:(

just switch to mobile share

YAYYYY haha.. me too

Good question. Does anyone know the answer here? Not that I have plans on leaving AT&T, but if and when I upgrade to the 6s, would I still keep the 15GB plan?
