AT&T order people with 6\16 date

I just registered to tell people in this thread to keep calm.

I ordered on the 15th at 7:00am EDT. My order confirmation listed it as the 16th. I just got the tracking number at 4:00pm EDT today.

I ordered through AT&T on the regular website. NOT Premier.

Anyway, she dug around in my order, and says that it's showing that my order was placed on 6/15, despite the order status being 6/16. She says that date only reflects when the order was processed, and that my place in line is set from when I actually placed the order.

She also said that my phone is scheduled to arrive on Thursday. But interestingly enough, she says that some phones are scheduled to arrive as
as WEDNESDAY. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but some people may be getting a pleasant surprise.

Bottom line: if you're worried about it, just call 611. They should be able to tell you when you're getting your phone.

I've previously heard that the 6/16 date doesn't matter. I don't buy it. Also, I very much doubt anyone gets anything before the 24th.

What I am thinking....AT&T has an original lot of orders in Texas, those have been taken. So before sending out any more phones, they are waiting on a big batch from China. Those are in Alaska right now (according to the Apple trackers) and should be in the AT&T warehouses sometime tomorrow. AT&T gets those into the systems and ships them to us overnight Wednesday. Done.

This is a plausible theory. I wasn't expecting tracking info to come so soon either, but now since some people have gotten theirs I'm panicking cause I haven't gotten mine :p.

Well..they won't be able to key it in until the day after..so still late

That doesn't mean it won't ship overnight Wednesday and I could still get it Thursday. Some people whose have shipped today have delivery dates of the 23rd, so if mine gets shipped tomorrow it'd be a day later, a.k.a the 24th.

The CSR I had on the phone said the same thing.

so they're going to receive it from asian tomorrow..take the phones, key in the S/N to each phone, process them, send them to FEDEX and get them shipped all in one day?

I'm sorry, I didn't know one person was doing all of this work. My bad.

I'm just thinking optimistically here. Maybe a little to optimistic, but idgaf at this point. Just let me have my glory and hope for my phone on the 24th.
 
ordered online on the 15th for two 32gb black iphones... got nothing until about Thursday that when i received an order confirmation email and could see my order under my at&t info with a order date of 6/16. got the iPhone CSS email this morning, and after a talk with an AT&T rep was told that my phone should ship tonight or tomorrow and would most likely be here between the 24th and 25th. my advice if your worried is just to call 611 and find out. She said that the order status will not change from in progress to shipping until a tracking number is issues which can take some time with the carrier, and also that because the phone wasn't listed as back-ordered i shouldn't be worried. hope this info helps

Nobody will be manually keying anything in. There are these things called barcodes and they take about a second to scan into the database

That's what those fancy barcodes and computers are for. Yes, they can do that in one day. Especially if FedEx is there when the shift starts. My company does this type of stuff all the time.
 
I'll throw my 2 cents in. I order off the premier site around 3pmEST time on launch day and got an email from permier instantly stating they recieved my order. That one immediately said processing and my order didnt show up on att site till the next day with 6/16 as the order date. I called the att lady and she said that it looks like any orders with an order date of 6/16 or earlier should recieve their iphone no later then friday. She was very nice and sounded like she knew what she was talking about. She just said there having a hard time getting thru all the premier orders. We may even get them on Thursday but if it comes in on Friday oh well!!

Don't know if its 24th or 25th yet, but I don't care. I got a phone !!!

I ordered a 16gb iPhone 6/15 at 4:18 PM EST and received Fedex tracking info today at 4pm. I ordered from regular att not Premier. There is still hope people!!!
 
I'd take a Friday...hell at this point I'd take a 16GB (just refund me $100!), I just want to know when to expect the ****in thing!!

ONE of my 16GBs just went off back order! (My bosses.. not mine :( )

I placed my order 20 mins after his...... *excited*******#&*#!@&%*#*
