I'm starting to feel like us 6/16s are going to take the shaft. :mad:

Given the fact that i ordered at 645am and still have no new updates, I'm assuming something probably got screwed up along the way. I'm pretty much resigned to the phone not coming till the next wave. Whenever that is.
 
For me:

Ordered 6/15 at 6:30AM PST

Premier site says Date Ordered: 6/15, "Processing", Last updated: 6/17

Regular AT&T site says Order date: 6/16 and 1 0 1.
 
I'm thinking we will set updates tomorrow. If we don't, I will be forgetting about a 24th delivering and hoping it arrives early July.
 
This has been total mess. I'll give them until tomorrow or else I'm just going to cancel the order. I have my apple store reservation and I'm number 6 at best buy so I'll just add my line there. Haven't heard anything from AT&T and their not taking calls.
 
Hmm...you ordered 11 hours after I did, same exact order (2 phones new family plan) and have a shipment, while I'm still processing.

What a cluster. I'm going to be annoyed if I don't make it in the first wave.

That sucks and I'm annoyed for you and everyone else that is still waiting.

This is my first go around with AT&T and I have to say that so far I'm not exactly impressed...

Actually, I read a theory that made the most sense: FedEx is the one dictating the release of the orders. They are trying to plan the phones to arrive on the 24th, so distant and rural areas would need to ship first. More urban areas and areas in Texas would not need to hit the road early. They could leave as late as Wednesday and still make it in time.

If that's the case, the bulk of the orders will leave tomorrow with areas local to the distro point and FedEx hubs leaving last.

Just a theory, but one I am willing to believe.

Problem with that theory: I ordered 1 phone from and Apple and 1 phone from AT$T. The Apple-ordered iPhone has already shipped. You would think if FedEx was calling the shots, both my phones would ship at the very same time. But, no, AT$T hasn't got their **** together.

But Apple is shipping from China, AT&T from Texas.
 
I ordered on 6/15 around 7am from att.
My order status shows 6/16 and in progress, never been on backorder.
My order number starts with 5051.

I called att today and the CSR told me they knew I placed my order on 6/15 and that they were trying to get all their orders out to the customers by 6/24 or as close to that as possible.
 
But Apple is shipping from China, AT&T from Texas.

What I am thinking....AT&T has an original lot of orders in Texas, those have been taken. So before sending out any more phones, they are waiting on a big batch from China. Those are in Alaska right now (according to the Apple trackers) and should be in the AT&T warehouses sometime tomorrow. AT&T gets those into the systems and ships them to us overnight Wednesday. Done.

I am completely talking out of my a** here btw.

My order status shows 6/16 and in progress, never been on backorder.
My order number starts with 5051.

I called att today and the CSR told me they knew I placed my order on 6/15 and that they were trying to get all their orders out to the customers by 6/24 or as close to that as possible.

Which means they are trying to ship on the 24th so youll get it on the 25th the earliest.
 
I order a black 32GB on the 15th, around 2pm with a regular ATT account. When my order eventually showed up in ATT's system the next day, it had the 6/16 date on it. It was never listed as backorderd. It shipped this morning, and the order status now shows the FedEx tracking number - so these 6/16 orders are occasionally shipping. I never received a shipping notification email from ATT however.
 
If it makes anyone feel better, I did not get a tracking number until two days before with the 3GS. I wasn't expecting them to come before tomorrow to begin with. I was surprised to see them already sending out tracking info. I'd be worried if after tomorrow I don't have one.

Interesting. I guess it's just totally random. Mine still isn't showing up as shipping but it's also never shown up as a back order either.

If it comes friday that's fine, I would just like to know in advance so I can plan to be home when that happens.

I did the same thing, I mainly just tried apple, but then I started trying both to see who worked first and I got through at&t first. I wish I had just stuck with Apple but whatever, we'll see. If it comes on-time then I guess in the end my complaining was for nothing but I'm not convinced yet.

The system timestamps the order date; I was told earlier that even though AT&T says 6/16 online my order was received on 6/15

I have been told multiple times over the last week that the phones were shipping *on* the 24th. This morning was the first time i heard anything different. She said they were scheduled to ship on the 24th but they were trying to get them out a day early so we could get them on the 24th.
 
Okay...

Just got off the phone with AT&T. I have to say, I've been on the phone with them several times since this debacle began, and I've been SHOCKED at how helpful they are. AT&T must pay some big bucks to have some native English speakers who are actually trained. So, at least they're doing SOMETHING right. Honestly, I haven't ever had such helpful customer service reps from any company, ever.

Anyway, she dug around in my order, and says that it's showing that my order was placed on 6/15, despite the order status being 6/16. She says that date only reflects when the order was processed, and that my place in line is set from when I actually placed the order.

She also said that my phone is scheduled to arrive on Thursday. But interestingly enough, she says that some phones are scheduled to arrive as soon as WEDNESDAY. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but some people may be getting a pleasant surprise.

Bottom line: if you're worried about it, just call 611. They should be able to tell you when you're getting your phone.

I think I'll make a new post about this, so more will see it...

Is this a known fact for sure? I certainly hope so, this would be awesome! This would mean there's actually hope. Is anyone here having their AT&T order shipped from anywhere other than Texas?
