How do I know which flight my phone could potentially be on? Is it based on your actual tracking number?

There is no way to know. We just check when shipments arrive.

I don't blame the csr, they are just uninformed. I blame Apple and AT&T. Honestly, how can they be surprised by the amount of orders!? People clearly love the iphone and want the newest and shiniest. It boils down to this, don't offer something you can't deliver. I know my own limits, I mean I can apply a bandaid if I cut myself but I wouldn't walk into an er and start stitching people up. Apple and AT&T know their limits, yet they play dumb and almost blame the customers for buying so many of their products for the lack of information.

It's frustrating, but this is a lesson for me to NEVER, EVER, AS LONG AS I F&*##%€ LIVE to ever order from AT&T again. And I hope they have people in their customer service dept ready to hear about it this weekend.

Edit to add: I just got a delivery from amazon, my 6+ case. This thing is massive. Now I'm frustrated and excited! Lol
 
Got FedEx tracking yesterday from AT&T, shipping now and FedEx showing delivery by 8pm on 9/19. Tracking shows it left Indy en route to Cincy...woohoo! 16GB Gold 6+, ordered as soon as AT&T opened up shop on website. Pure luck. Shame that the gold isn't fetching the price it did last year on resale. I totally pumped myself to a lowered expectation of mid-October...

LUCKY! Good for you though, I wish I could be so lucky. I hope you enjoy your 6+ on launch! :)
 
I ordered a total of 6 phones for my company:

1 iphone 6 16gb SG
1 iphone 6 16gb silver
1 iphone 6 128 gb gold
1 iphone 6+ 128 gb SG
2 iphone 6+ 128gb silver

I ordered these on Monday 9/15 at 9:00 am thru my AT&T business rep. The initial confirmation I received had all 3 6+ phones delivering 11/9-11/27. The 16gb SG had an expected delivery date of 10/14-11/3 and the 16gb silver and 128gb gold had a delivery date of 9/24-10/3. I checked the status this morning and all 3 iphone 6 phones had UPS tracking numbers and showed a 9/19 delivery date to Dayton, OH. About an hour after that I received tracking numbers for all 3 6+ phones but it didn't have a delivery date. They were all in Fort Worth, TX and listed as next day air saver. About 45 minutes ago it updated again and they too have a 9/19 delivery date from UPS. As of a few minutes ago they were at DFW airport probably headed to Louisville next. I have no idea how mine got moved up so fast as I ordered them 4 days after the presale started.
 
Well, guys, it's been real.

I'll probably stay on for another hour or so, but I don't think I have the heart to sit on the forums tomorrow. If i wake up without a tracking number in the morning, then that's that. Can't put myself through this for a whole week!

Wish all of you the best of luck! Hope we all get our phones and NEVER trust AT&T with our product orders again. So disappointed in their customer service, even if our phones do end up at our doorsteps tomorrow. Terrible experience.

In any case, hoping for the best, anticipating the worst. Until tomorrow, and beyond!
 
AT&T rep

I stopped by my local AT&T store to get a few questions answered...

The rep was very nice and thought it made no sense as to why someone like myself who ordered the instant the site went live hasn't received tracking info but instead has a 10/2 delivery date still.

First big question he answered is that they will not be allowed to cancel preorders in store tomorrow to allow you to then buy the phone there. It sounded like it was possible but not going to be allowed to cut down on the number of people trying that.

Second(and the answer to this made my first question pointless) they are getting less than five 6+'s in store tomorrow as they have been told they are pulling store inventory to try to fill more preorders.

He said there is a ton of last minute shipments going to take place and to not be surprised if I get shipment notification tonight or in the morning. I told him I wasn't going to get my hopes up.
 
64GB Plus Space Grey. Just outside NYC.

Ordered it through Premier around 3:20 am Eastern on the 12th. Confirmation came through around 5:30 am.

I was in the 10/31 group when I first purchased it, moved up to 10/2. No movement all week, but got an e-mail at 4:05 that it was shipped. Delivery by end of day tomorrow.

The pending charge fell off earlier in the week and my card hasn't been re-charged as of yet.

Same model. Just outside NYC (Long Island). Ordered before 3:10am Eastern on 12th. Confirmation e-mail at 4:30am. 10/31 when first purchased, moved up to 10/2, pending charges fell off, no charges yet... but no shipment. Sad face.

I might try and cancel my order this evening and head down there for a long wait instead...
 
I'm in indiana and I ordered mine 64gb SG. My original shipping had me all the way to november. Then moved to early october. Now the charge came off my account for the phone. I'm hoping to get shipping info tonight or tomorrow morning. Grrr frustrated with this

From a reddit thread about At&T 6+ orders... Who knows if true, but i'll believe anything by now:

Apparently the premier orders had to be approved manually by the premier office.
That office didn't open until 8AM EST.
i.e. Anyone who ordered on Premier essentially ordered at 5+ hours after pre-orders opened, that is why the ship date is that far out.

I'm not so sure that's 100%... I don't know if it makes a difference but my wife's 6 64GB is coming tomorrow and we are both on premier. My 6+ is of course stuck on 10/2-10/13.
 
JenniferSS I am in Boise as well- same experience here with Premier-- waiting for 128G SG 6+ sad day

My hope is fading.....:confused:
Last year i ordered 5s trough Att Premier account in the store, the shipping was in November so i canceled my order and went to Apple store couple days later after release day and got it from them.
But this year i cant go i have kids that i need to take to school so staying early in the morning is not an option for me:eek:

This is so awesome for us who actually ordered minutes BEFORE the pre sale started. Great job AT&T! (face palm) Congrats I guess....:rolleyes:
 
I am happy for you but this is the perfect example of how F'd up this is. People order at the stroke of midnight are waiting while the guy who orders 4 days later gets his phones. AT&T threw everyone in a hat and pulled names to create their pecking order.

So, premier order on 9/12 3:10am est for 6+ 64gb SG. Just got off the phone with a premier agent. She told me what I already know, my phone is due 10/2 - 10/13. I said I already know that. I want to know why I am not getting my phone tomorrow when I ordered within 10 mins of launch. No answer. I asked if premier members are being penalized? No sir. I asked if there were problems that screwed up the order sequence because people that ordered after me are getting theirs tomorrow? She said no and could only apologize. I kept on and she all of a sudden says it has already shipped and is in a warehouse and I should get it soon. I said great. Who is it with UPS or FEDEX and what is the tracking number? She puts me on hold and when she comes back she says she doesn't have a tracking number to give me. I ask if my phone is still in China? At this point she could only apologize and say she hopes I get it soon. I think that "it has shipped" or "its in the warehouse" are just things they are saying to end the conversation. Guess that didn't work out so well for her this time.

Sorry for any spelling or grammar errors. I am pissed off typing on my little iPhone 5.

Best of luck to you. I hope hope hope that, 1: AT&T get's their heads out of their a$$€$ and fulfills a majority of orders, or at least a statement about this whole ordeal, and 2 that we are all get surprised by tracking and/or a package tomorrow.
 
can we go to the store tomorrow and pick up a phone using our upgrade and cancel the one we placed online?

some are having luck cancelling on the phone today.

In the past they refused to cancel orders in the store. Or said they couldn't. And since most people had already used their upgrade option...they were unable to help them.

No way im cancelling my order and taking a chance of finding one in the store...

But I will be in line in the morning to see if I can get my hands on one tomorrow.

I have my doubts, that's why I pre-ordered too, but I am going to try.

ordered at 9:45 HST
got the order confirmation a couple minutes later and saw a charge on my CC by 10 AM HST.

I’ve had the ‘preparing for shipment’ on ATT website ever since, no longer see a pending charge on my cc. and just got an email last night (9/17) saying my order is shipping 10/2 – 10/13. Really do hope I get it tomorrow but losing hope at this point.
