I'm going with Square Trade personally. Can do it month to month so it makes more sense if you're on Next and trading in after a year.

Why? You can cancel your AppleCare+ policy half way in and get a prorated refund. Square trade, according to their website, is month to month with a 2-year agreement.

No more ordering any **** from AT&T, they are dead, lets spread the news over twitter and facebook to stop using AT&T

Happens every preorder.
But, at least in my area, the cell and data service is 100s times better than any of the competition.

It's not even close.
 
Just got off phone with AT&T

Just hung up with a rep 5 minutes ago. I played the "I think you guys forgot about me nice and friendly angle" to check on my order.
Long story short, she said the 6+ is on backorder. I didn't feel like arguing with her by pointing out that others I've read about here who ordered the same phone have tracking numbers so just took her info with grain of salt.

My specs: 6+ 64gb Silver NEXT. Ordered 9/12 at 3:06AM EST. Currently preparing to ship.

Hopefully that helps for perspective

I was wondering the same thing, but I found out that if you upgrade every year, you can transfer it to your new device. The deductible for AppleCare is the lowest around.$79.00 Apple care you can cancel at anytime and get a pro rated amount back....Hands down AppleCare is the best.

I used Square Trade for insurance on my iPad 2, and lo and behold, I dropped it on the sidewalk one day, cracking the screen and deforming the port to charge the device.

I filed the claim online without having to ever speak to a representative. I think it was something like a 4-5 business day turn around for that particular service--submitted my claim on Friday, they rushed a box to me by Monday, I threw it in and dropped it back off at a UPS store, and I had my iPad back in my hands on Thursday. All without having to speak with anyone, and they covered my iPad up to its brand new value, no deductible.

The most epic customer service experience, without me even having to deal with someone to make it happen. I trust them, 110%

This is exactly how AliciaS was with me this morning. Short, not helpful or anything. It's sad because when i've had issues with AT&T Uverse, the customer service was so much better --- I know this situation is different because there are a lot of us contacting and getting upset... Communication is just better and admitting they screwed up. It's pretty bad on AT&T's part if Verizon and other carriers were able to get this sorted out better.

So dumb. Not her, the situation. No one knows anything. Phones are coming in off planes and order statuses may or may not be getting updated accordingly.
 
I will say this again:

The demand is on the 6+ 64gb, SG. I ordered three 6+ models all at 9:35am eastern. All three were 64gb and all three were different colors. I just received shipping notification for silver and gold. The SG email came as well and it is still stuck in the 10/31-11/11 date. Pretty frustrating, I would have ordered the other colors.
 
Same thing the rep told me earlier this morning when I called in to see if I can cancel. She said its in the warehouse and ready to ship. Still think reps aren't sure. I know some people will take this news as "omg theres a chance that it'll come tomorrow" but they're just hanging onto whatever favorable answer the rep might say while ignoring any of the negative outcome answers lol.

This is my line of thinking. The fact that the order has been processed and activated is probably more accurate than the shipping date the system shows. I remain optimistic considering I got both my orders in before 12PST and one of my confirmation emails is actually dated 9/11.
 
The most shocking thing to me is the lack of updates today regarding 6+. I think maybe less than 5 people have had shipped status changes today for the 6+.

Clearly the 6+ is limited but dang Apple. Surely they expected their to be a lot of demand for them to FINALLY bring a big screen to the iPhone.
 
How do some of you guys not even have a phone? You don't currently have any cellphone at all? Did you have one and it just magically quit working when you ordered an iPhone 6?

Fried my 5s battery after using a frayed charging cable by accident. The battery will literally last 1 hour if I leave it on standby and not use it. That time plummets if I have to check emails, etc.

Agreed... that's what makes me really nervous about the whole situation.
 
Is anyone else just beyond pissed off who ordered early and not receiving tomorrow while others that ordered WAY later are getting theirs?

I have stayed off this forum since knowing that we got a email confirmation about a 10/02 - 10/13 ship date this morning, even though we ordered within the first 4 minutes last Friday morning (2am CST) as Premier (which I think ultimately screwed us).

Luckily our "Cancel Pre-order" button is appearing again so that might give hope IF we decide to go to AT&T store to get our upgrade and just do that at the store.

I'm just beyond upset as a AT&T customer. I went to Twitter and tweeted about the horrible situation. Verizon was quick to respond saying they would love for us to switch... ha!

Sorry, just had to vent and let it all out. Really annoyed even though I know it's not the end of the world.


Verizon is loving all these free press!
 
just chatted up with ATT and here is what they said, so I hope this is right.

Sorry, but I think that's just the rep blowing smoke. LOTS of us ordered during the pre-order and there's no way we're all getting the phone tomorrow.

Personally I've come to slowly accept my scheduled shipping date for what it's worth. Now I don't even bother checking my order status anymore, unless I receive a message from ATT letting me know of such.

I see, after hours? I have a ton of ones close to me. within 5 minutes. but how after hours if they are closed, and I thought no weekend delivery's?


I thought there were Saturday deliveries. After hours meaning the time the trucks should be back at the place they deployed from. After 6, or maybe after 8pm?
 
My guess, the rumors were correct. The 6 PLUS is in short supply and AT&T drew the short straw for supply, and we're all going to wait because of this. I would be SHOCKED if any of us see this phone show up tomorrow. I really want to be wrong, but as the day goes on, it's looking less and less likely.
