I blame Apple too.... if they did not have enough stock to cover the first 15 minutes of pre-orders, how can Tim Cook stand on stage and announce the 6 Plus goes on pre-order 9/12?
Sporadic tracking day today it seems? I haven't really seen anyone post tracking for today? So.....everyone on here without tracking and with an estimated 10/2 is basically screwed?
I have decided that this is the pure, unvarnished truth, because I did not receive that e-mail this morning, and therefore I will be receiving my iPhone to-morrow!

I think this has more to do with under estimating the demand for a large screen iPhone. We can be glad Tim Cook is at the helm to at least bring the 6 & 6+ because we know Steve Jobs hated the "hummer" sized phones. Just like Tim bringing the iPad mini. There are some things that have been extremely well received by the market that came from Apple - that Steve didn't like.
So - as a future iPhone 6 Plus owner...I am glad he announced them...even if they missed how strong the demand was for them. Speaking of which:

"AT&T Premier Order Shipment Notification"
Turns out it was the shipment notification for my non-plus that shipped 3 DAYS AGO!!

12:56 pacific time after an hour of the att site crashing and not selecting the right phone or me even getting to enter my card number then it not working. So annoying.

Same thing happened to me...now not only did they crap on us...they are rubbing it in with emails.
HaHa. I just got the same one. I was so excited for a second and now more pissed.
I didn't get the email either but with my luck they probably just forgot about me.
Interesting they said that because we have a person who works for Apple at our store and they said the something about if you ordered within in the first hours of launch that you would get it on launch day.
I had one generation when I pre ordered where the tracking wasn't provided until day of & got it
5 planes are heading towards this direction. I haven't got this infamous email stating that my order is still expected between 10-2014/10-2014. I am beyond hopeful and beyond scared to be this hopeful cuz ILL BE PISSED. PISSEDDDDDDDD
