Well I canceled my pre order!! Both radio shack and best buy are getting 6 pluses this week!!! After talking to a rep for awhile and mind you I completely didn't expect her advice to cancel and try every other known source for pluses cause they are all faster I did just that and was pleasantly surprised at how fast they are getting them!! Most places I called even walmart are expecting more stock beginning to mid week!! In the words of Smokey from Friday "Bye Felecia!!"
 
What makes you say that? If I show up and say I changed my mind about the purchase because of the price, the phone gets returned and is back in stock at the store. My line is eligible for NEXT so unless the person is a total jerk, I don't see why they wouldn't re-sell it to me?

Because the phones are allocated a certain way and sold a certain way according to your plan. I'm not sure but if you return a phone they can't sell it back right away, it needs to be refreshed in their system to be able to go back into the "can be sold" batch..

But hopefully it works out!

We'll see. Like I said before, if I can do it it would be preferred but if not I'm not concerned. Either way I'm leaving with it. If anything my AT&T bill just stays at $64.00 for the next 20 months instead of getting a bump of $43 bucks due to an EIP.
 
I watch these threads every year for updates. Never felt the need to post until now.

Like many of you I ordered shortly after midnight. And like many of you, got the shaft. I wake up early today and checked apple stock. Got the green lights at a couple stores, cancelled premier order, and I'm picking a 16g SG + in a few hours when they open. In my cancellation I left a nastygram.
 
I just wanted to add. You can cancel and order online not long after, however for me I still couldn't pay full price and be done with it. The only thing I could do is, still a two-year commitment paying $649.00 for a 64GB + model. It also increases my mobile shars access for smartphone to $40.00 a month.

This was the only way i could do it and pick up in the store, in Atlanta Ga. And of course you can't do next and pick it up. I hate At&t.

I just did the full price purchase on Apple with the 2 year commitment, plan price increase, etc yet when I log in to ATT it still says I'm eligible for a full upgrade next year. Did it not update because I haven't picked up the phone yet?
 
I can't find the screen where I can cancel my order. I stumbled I. It the other day but can't find it now. I have a IRU account. Individual responsibility account.
 
If att has in store stock , can those who pre order online , go in store , cancel there pre orders and purchase the phone using next plan?
 
Man im so envious.

Not only has mine not shipped but I can't even order it through Apple because I have premier. I wonder if its worth the no fee cancellation perk I have. I mean how many times will I ever need to cancel right? :eek:
 
I'm not sure I'm willing to take the chance but when I purchased my wife's iPhone 6 they accidentally put it in as a 2-year agreement instead of the Next that I picked. I called and the assured me that I can change it back to a Next fan in the store. Perhaps if you go to Apple today and purchase via 2 year agreement, you could switch it to Next at an ATT store?

My delivery time bounced around as late as 10/31 - 11/4(I think). At the completion of my purchase, the site said 7 - 10 days delivery. So, at this point, I'm less pissed with the phone not arriving than the complete debacle AT&T is now reigning over with a complete lack of any information or updates. I've contemplated switching to Verizon before because of several occasions where my signal sucked and my friends with Verizon were fine. If I wanted to switch to Sprint, I could actually go pick up my exact phone at this time. Toying with that idea. However, it's more about trying a new carrier as opposed to having to get my phone right now.

Anyway, not sure if any of that information is of use to anyone. But, there it is.

Never mind, just tried to do in-store pickup at an Apple store through their site and while it tells me I'm available for a Next upgrade, they can't do it through the Apple site. No option for 2-year agreement price, just full price.

So now the exact iPhone 6+ I want is readily available within 2 miles of where I'm sitting that I could have in my hand in an hour but no, I have to wait for ******* ATT to get their act together and get me my preorder.
 
I am on live chat with att. They said they can't cancel my order because premiere department is closed on the weekends. WTF.
 
I just cancelled my order with AT&T I found a gold 6plus 128g at my local apple store, I wanted space grey but after seeing the gold one I got my wife last night. It actually looks great, plus I will be putting a case on it so the color really does not matter. Going to pick it up in a an hour or so. Stoked. The number to call and cancel with AT&T is 1800-331-0500 funny the only thing easy was canceling with them. it went flawless. Upgrade eligibility was instant. I did have the apple order up and on the screen while doing this.

just cancelled my order with att through the chat option, took a few minutes, after it was cancelled my upgrade eligibility renewed within 2 minutes. going to the apple store today to pick up my 64gb sg
 
Why does AT&T send me an email that says "Order your new iPhone 6 now!" I think receiving this email 15 minutes ago pisses me off more than anything else.
I woke up to order at 2:00 cst on the morning of 9/12. I ordered a 64gb 6+ SG through NEXT. I received my premier email with the agreement at 03:49am. My initial shipping dates were 10/13-10/22. Last Sunday they dropped to 10/2-10/13 and have been there ever since.
I hope everyone will still post when they receive tracking and get their phone.

Probably another lie. My guess is now that people are seeing where they can get the phones (I actually can get a phone like the one I ordered, but in a different color, immediately) there concerned that people cancelling, for whatever reason, are going to mess up their logistics even further.
 
I also found stock at the local Apple Store so I cancelled by preorder and ordered through Apple. Too bad Next orders can't be picked up in store so I am back to a 3-4 week wait. I'm hoping though that ordering through Apple means it will ship sooner than that.

If you signed up for a two-year commitment, why did you have to pay $649?

I just found stock at a local Apple store, too. I canceled my pre-order online and my line was eligible for the upgrade again within a few minutes. I'm picking up my Gold 64GB Plus today. Can't believe what a mess AT&T made of this.
