Yeah I got one that starts with a b and todays date. Don't know if that is cause we just tried to cancel, or that is a good sign that ours is actually going to ship out today.

I thought it might be the attempted cancellation as well. I'll continue to hope that it is a good sign though. Glad it isn't just me.

Either way, if others have been able to cancel this morning and we haven't I'm taking that as a good sign.
 
Well this might be a good sign. This whole time the 877 number has always said my order is on back order and this morning it says my order is being processed.
 
Anyone else's order say "Preparing for Shipment" and tried to cancel? I just called and they said I can't cancel because it already left the warehouse but I don't even have a tracking number. I want to reserve at an apple store...

Yeah a couple of us are getting that this morning. We are hoping that it is true.
 
Also - my account now shops a new order number along with the same order I've had since day one. If I click on that new order it is completely blank. Anyone seen this?

I ended up going to my local Apple store this morning and I have a 128 GB 6 Plus Silver reserved. I cancelled one of my orders and my eligibility cleared in 5 minutes. My space gray is still on order so I get to live both experiences :)

This morning, I received an email from FedEx (I signed up for Delivery Manager) that a package weighing 2 lbs. has been picked up in Fort Worth, TX and set for delivery on Monday.

I then checked my order status on AT&T, and it says that my phone has shipped!

I ordered a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Gray and had the shipping dates of 10/2-10/13.
 
Just tried to cancel my pre orders cause a bunch of 6 + are available for pick up through Apple. No dice, email says "unable to cancel order". Looks like I am in AT&T limbo hell!

Sorry to hear that. I'm in the same boat. Got confirmation that it was cancelled successfully. Two hours later I received an email when on the phone with Att that it could not be cancelled. CSR was just as confused. I suggested maybe because it's ready to ship? Well, I used another line on my phone to upgrade but it wasn't the full upgrade since that line received an upgrade for the 5s last year. CSR said I can transfer elegibility when or if the Att preorder comes in. IF the order is even in warehouse. Done with Att preorders. I'll take my chance with Apple and try to get my $250 back when or if the other phone comes in. I just want my 64gb+ silver iphone.
 
well i keep getting screwed. my local apple stores are showing availability in gold and silver. so i cancelled my att preorder.

everytime i add iphone to cart, i get all the way to the place order button and it gives me an error. sold out. i did it with 4 different size and color combinations, every single time it sold back out while checking out.

guess i am not getting a phone for even longer now lol....

i wonder if apple will be getting any more shipments in today?

That's strange. Did you do store pick up? You can choose which location has availability.
 
Canceled this morning at 8am, put in for pick up at store at my Apple Store here for at 64gig Ip6+ Gold. Just got a text that I'm ready for pickup. I swear to god I'll never order through ATT again.

If you signed up for a two-year commitment, why did you have to pay $649?

I just found stock at a local Apple store, too. I canceled my pre-order online and my line was eligible for the upgrade again within a few minutes. I'm picking up my Gold 64GB Plus today. Can't believe what a mess AT&T made of this.

I paid that too. It's because we are not fully eligible because it's too soon so Att adds the $250 it cost as if you cancelled your contract and started a new one.

the stores showed availability, so i selected them for in store pick up. took me through the whole cart to payment process. clicked complete order. error. go back out. no longer available for in store pick up. called, they said they dont have anymore. that i must have been placing my order at the same time as somebody else and they beat me to the complete order process.

does anybody know if apple will be getting shipments today? its 10am where i am.

That's a good sign. My order status still says Preparing to Ship, 10/2-10/13, but I'll keep refreshing with hope :)
 
Mine now says it is in process and then quotes the ship dates on the website. It did just say backordered before.

Yeah this is definitely a good sign. I also get two completely different order numbers through calling the 877 number. This HAS to mean something.
