Keep canceling everyone! (especially the 6+ 64GB SG) I have neither the time nor energy to wait in line at 7:00am or stay up till midnight again and "hope" there's one for me at the Apple Store for pickup the next day. The more that cancel, the quicker I get mine!! :)

Yeah, I lied. Woke up with the kids at our usual time of 7:00. Happened to check the Apple web site and the 6+ 64GB SG was available for pick up in the SF store today. Called AT&T, cancelled my order (took about 10 min) and reserved my phone. Picking up in a few hours.
 
woke up early today because I wanted to make breakfast for my girlfriend (its our anniversary). Before I started I came here to check for any developments in our situation and saw that there were none. I then hopped over to Apple.com and saw they have stock of the 64gb Space Gray 6 + today I quickly rushed over to ATT's Premier site and cancelled my order. The upgrade status restored instantly so I tried to purchase the phone through Apple again....in store pickup not available for NEXT pricing....so I bit the bullet and bought the phone at full retail....for now. When I go to pick it up later I'll "return" it and have them re-process it as NEXT. Hopefully they'll do it otherwise I just ate $900 bucks and if it did, it tasted really good lol. :D

Forgot the most important part....^%@ you AT&T!


Please report back if this works. I assume it would, but with no way to know for sure have been hesitant. I don't see why not honestly.

Update -

Spoke with customer care manager after 30min and got a normal human being from a US call center. He tried to cancel my order 3 times and was shocked he couldn't, he said thats impossible but was presented with an error code of W with some numbers after it.

WXXXX = At warehouse in process to shipment. Basically the phone is at the point of no return and is traveling down the conveyer to be assigned tracking and be shipped. He said I'm likely to receive tracking and the device in the next 3 days.

After going to the AT&T store and holding the 6+ I am going to return it for the 6 which the Customer Service Manager gave me a $50.00 to cover $35.00 exchange fee plus a little extra for all the trouble. The plus is awfully long and narrow, and I'm a big guy. I can guarantee it will stick out of a pocket its that long :(.
 
Has anyone had success cancelling an ATT premier preorder, going to an Apple store, and upgrading an existing ATT premier Next (not 2-year agreement) account with an iPhone 6?

I can't do it online but I'm thinking about making the drive to an actual Apple store and seeing what happens?

I had success. I have premier because I use a corporate discount. No problem cancelling on the phone.

Went to the local Apple Store this morning out of curiosity only to see over 100 people in line. Didn't even ask how many 6+'s were available. I just knew. What a madhouse.

I walked in and out immediately with a blue leather Apple case though! :D

I think I'll just continue the long and painful wait for AT&T to ship it.

It's probably the sim card. This means your order should be about to ship. Same thing here.
 
Check your order status!

This morning, I received an email from FedEx (I signed up for Delivery Manager) that a package weighing 2 lbs. has been picked up in Fort Worth, TX and set for delivery on Monday.

I then checked my order status on AT&T, and it says that my phone has shipped!

I ordered a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Gray and had the shipping dates of 10/2-10/13.

Are you Premier?

Yes. We aren't sure if that is the result of the attempted cancellation or if is means they are putting the SIM card in your phone.
 
I finally gave up. Went to the Apple Store and purchased a 6 space gray 128gb, pretty much the same configuration I had my 6 plus in . I cancelled my 6 plus pre order, hopefully it bumps one of you guys up.
 
Why does AT&T send me an email that says "Order your new iPhone 6 now!" I think receiving this email 15 minutes ago pisses me off more than anything else.
I woke up to order at 2:00 cst on the morning of 9/12. I ordered a 64gb 6+ SG through NEXT. I received my premier email with the agreement at 03:49am. My initial shipping dates were 10/13-10/22. Last Sunday they dropped to 10/2-10/13 and have been there ever since.
I hope everyone will still post when they receive tracking and get their phone.

Same for me, no tracking, nothing.... Just preparing to ship :(
 
When my iPhone 5 was shipped by AT&T the SIM card was listed as a separate line item with a number, so yes you guys are getting closer. Probably will be delivered on Monday.

Exactly. I was actually going to cancel my orders this morning and pick one up at Apple today but it wouldn't let me. I am willing to bet money I get these phones Monday.
