I ordered my Silver 6+ 128G at 12:54am MST and I have not had any notification of shipping. I have checked on the Premier site as well as the regular AT&T site. I did call the 877 number and it no longer says backorder. I am afraid to try to cancel my order as my local Apple store has 64G SG in stock. But I think I am going to hold out. FWIW I am in Boise.

Hold out man, I got my tracking number few ours ago so you should get yours too soon.
 
One quick thing, Fedex reference number was random and had nothing to do with anything which is stupid, and I just got text from ATT saying order shipped. So 7:37AM EST for email and 11:22AM EST for text, so you know which one to expect first.
 
So what are you planning then? As already explained to you by someone who works in a corporate store, the people working in the store A). aren't the ones who made you wait, B). can't give you any additional information, and C). can't do anything to give you a plus or make your order come any faster. So why make them and the other customers listen to your ****?

I've never had anything but great customer service and never gotten anything less than 110% from the store employees.

What you're proposing is not fare to the store employees working their asses off or the customers.

You are not the only one in this boat there were AT LEAST a dozen on line who I knew also had a back ordered 6+ (my self included), and there is at least a store every few miles in my area. None of us made a scene or raised hell.

Do as we did, go to a corporate owned store, play with both models, you might like the 6 (I did), you may not. Then you have to do what the store manager told all of us in the same situation... Basically go play with both phones and decide if you're going to wait for your pre order OR if you like the 6, pick one up in the store (assuming this option is still available at this stage).

You are making a lot of assumptions about a person you do not know. Precisely what is not "fare" about me going into a store and insisting that I be allowed to cancel an order that WILL NOT SHIP FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS?

I never said anything about demanding that I be given a phone. Reading comprehension = a useful tool in life.

BTW as I mentioned earlier, check out Spigen's Slim Armor and Tough Armor cases on Amazon, along with their Glas.tR screen protector. Great company with great products.

Lots of changes this morning. I now see a sim card for one of my orders and both orders no longer say backordered when I call the 877 number. Of course the second of my orders is being processed first, both ordered before 12am PST. Haha typical FCFS buffoonery.

6+ 128gb gold. ordered at 3:03am est and accepted around 4:21am est

i'm so glad i stuck to my pre order and didn't cancel!!!

I saw my local apple store had iPhone 6 Plus available for pickup today and I canceled my AT&T pre-order and ordered the iPhone 6 plus, strolled into the store, waited online for about 40 mins and walked out with a 128 GB AT&T iPhone 6 Plus Gold :D

But this things huge.... the iPhone 6 seems like the perfect size

Still no update, can't cancel my order even though my local apple store has the plus I want, call the toll free number and says it's in "back order" and the site says preparing to ship.

I still don't understand why I can't cancel and order that's clearly not even in the process of being shipped.
 
So i saw stock available at a nearby apple store and tried cancelling my order (premier account) and got denied with cancel button grayed out now. Almost as if they are holding me hostage. I still see 10/2 ship date with no updates. This is really screwed up situation.

I canceled my pre order late last night, got immediate upgrade restoration and was able to order a phone for pickup today.

Decided to get silver instead of space gray--I think that's why it was available.

You guys keep checking availability on the Apple Store app--I think you will be able to get your phone in a few days at the latest.

Forget this AT&T nonsense......

I'm not premiere, but I upgraded via NEXT. It says I can't cancel my order even though it's in back-order, so it's not even to the level of being prepared to ship like the status page has me believe. At this point I think I'm stuck in limbo and will have to wait. Still stuck in the 10/13 - 10/22 bracket.

Do you mean that the photos make it look smaller than it really is? Is it that big? I already have the Spigen Tough Armor case for this (BTW that case is amazing and Spigen makes awesome cases), and it looks big, but not that big.

Went to the Apple Store this morning to see how it was in the hand. I have medium-large hands, but it felt great to me and I can really see how the extra screen real estate will be nice. Fit in my pockets fine too.

Bottom line, I don't think people will be missing the 3.5inch size after they start using a plus. Phones are used for a lot more than calling these days..

This may sound like a dumb question, but if Apple's website says "Available In Store Pick up" for the phone I want (Verizon now, not AT&T bc they suck) does that mean I will definitely have that phone today? We drove by the Apple Store and a huge line.. I just don't want to get screwed over already how I have been with AT&T

Here are my order details:

- Ordered the SG 128 GB iPhone 6 Plus at 11:56 PM on Sep 11th
- Confirmation email at 12:03 AM on Sep 12
- Estimated shipping date on AT&T site: Oct 02 - Oct 13
- Tried to cancel pre-order this AM to get it locally, but couldn't do so. AT&T Premier Rep (at 866-499-8008, Option 2 - yes, they are open today) told me that I couldn't cancel as the order was being shipped (honestly I was very skeptical, but had no choice)
- Received tracking email (and can see the update on the website) at 08:25 AM PST
