AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

Another thing I picked up a iphone 5s for my brother last week and was told by at&t that they tax you on the pre discounted price which ended up being $46 for the 5s. But my two iphone 6+'s tax was only $50 for both of them I have never herd of being charged tax on the "pre discounted" price before.
Anyone with an original ship date of 10/31-11/7 that got moved back twice, ultimately to 10/2-10/13 have any shipping info yet?
I just got back from the Apple Store with my iPhone 6 Plus Gold 64Gb. No hassle and everyone was super friendly. Never again ATT, never again.
All of you that have placed orders for a 16gb model might want to rethink about getting at least a 64gb one cause the os takes up a little over 9gb of space

2 year contract or NEXT?
NEXT is basically a 2 year loan that ATT gives you at 0% APR so they charge you tax upfront and the rest of the phone value you pay monthly until your phone is paid off.
2 year contracts are different because they actually give you the phone at a discount and then bake in the charges into your monthly bill.
Which Confirmation
Which confirmation time is everyone going by? I got my Premier Order confirmation at 1:48am Central time the one with the activation number etc.....Before launch...however didnt get my congrat texts until 8pm the next day.

all three of the lines were 2yr upgrades i did not change anything with my account. I picked up the 5s in store and the 6+'s over the phone I just dont see how the tax could be so different when the 5s was only $149 and the two 6+'s were $799
That's because the OS measures 1024 bytes as a kb but the storage manufactures measure 1000 bytes as a kb.
The OS only uses like 5GB I believe.

Placed mine at 3:15am EDT as well and got my confirmation email at 5:50 AM EDT.Still Preparing to Ship with 10/2 - 10/13 estimated delivery.

Guys... Just got back from the apple store. Played with the 6 plus and the 6 for a good ten minutes each. So glad I ordered the 6 plus. I was beginning to get nervous as everyone I know who preordered a 6+ gave up on the wait and bought what was available at ATT (only 6's). I will miss having a really small device only because I enjoy small electronics not because of functionality.
Side story: I went by ATT store first. There was a line outside and the doors were locked. When I told the rep I already had an order and just want to handle the display phones she said I'd still have to go to the back of the line. When I went to apple the line was 10x the size but the apple rep was giddy to let me in and play. What I don't understand is both places have a first come first serve system electronically. You show up, you get your name on the list. Then you stand in line, sit in the waiting area, or wonder around and get tempted to buy more stuff!! Stupid ATT. STUPID.

So i just checked my order status for my 64gb 6+ SG and it SHIPPED! Got a tracking number and should be arriving on Monday. I haven't gotten the email or text yet but seeing that premier updates are slow i wont expect those till after I receive my phone on Monday. Just for comparison, I ordered at 3:05am EST, got bumped to 10/2 and today sometime after 12pm my phone status changed to shipped with a tracking number. Good luck and hope everyone that got screwed like me also get tacking numbers today!
That's how they work. If you buy a 1TB hard drive, you actually only have about 9 hundred something gigs.
you are so lucky, i order 64GB 6+ SG too, and still say pending shipping. i call and it said it is on back order.
so then would the 16gb phone then would only have 13 gb to start then with the 5gb update it would only leave 8gb of free space
Nope. 15.25GB
In other words an iPhone 16GB after OS would have 10GB available space give or take.
