TL; DR: So essentially, you tied up the CSRs time for a few cheap laughs on the forum....

Relax bro. Why couldn't he have a couple minutes of fun with the CSR after they lie to us. I did a live chat with marrisa in the day before the release and she assured me my phone would be delivered Friday even though I didn't (and still don't) have a tracking number. They constantly lie to their customers. If I was lied to and told different bs everyone I called I wouldn't be as made as I am now. I placed my order 5 minutes after launch (premier) for iPhone gold plus 64 and am still stuck on the 10/02 with no hints of it shipping soon.

I placed my order at 12:00 PST on 9/12 for the iPhone 6+ 128GB Silver. Premier. Was left at October 2-13 for shipping even though my wife received her phone yesterday. Decided to bite the bullet and cancel my preorder via chat at 6:30CT this morning and place an order for inshore pickup at the Apple Store about 6 miles from my house (Chicago - Lincoln Park). Went at 10 a.m., waiting in line for about 15 minutes, was called inside and left with an activated phone 5 minutes later. I'm never working with ATT Wireless on a pre-order ever again. My grandfathered unlimited, discounts and text plans make me stay with the service.
 
when you guys get tracking information please include your order time with time zone so the rest of us can See if there's a wave of them coming

Jonathan Paul: when i call the 1 877 number it says that order number does not exist

Jonathan Paul: why are some people receiving them earlier than others

Jonathan: Orders are being shipped in the order they were processed.

Jonathan Paul: what do you mean processed...my order was placed at 2:44am est and their are people that ordered a couple days later that have theirs

Jonathan Paul: first come first serve...right?

Jonathan: If a customer whose order was fully processed while yours was still pending, It would have shipped first we can not hold up orders that have been processed.

Jonathan Paul: well why wouldnt mine of been processed?

Jonathan: If the credit card was declined and you needed to call in it would have held up the process.

Jonathan: This is just an example.

Jonathan Paul: can you see on my account what held up the processing?

Jonathan Paul: i had a hold on my credit card for $45 for 2 days then it disappeared

Jonathan: We do place that hold to reserve the device for you.

Jonathan: I do see you had chosen the iphone plus this device was in higher demand.

Jonathan Paul: i still do not understand how someone can order a couple days after me with the same phone can have theirs before me....so it takes a couple days to process? well if thats the case i would still be ahead of them

Jonathan: I apologize you have not received your device as of yet. The order has been fully processed, There is no way to expedite it any further. If you like I can provide you the phone number for our Customer Care to see if there is anything they can do for you for the inconvenience?

Jonathan Paul: well if there is nothing you can do what are they gonna be able to do

why cant they just admit they dropped the ball!
 
Status has always been October 2. Saw an Apple Store near me had 6 plus 64gb in sg in stock. Called att and canceled which reinstated my eligibility immediately and went for the in store pick up which took less than 10 minutes. Will never order from att again.
 
You would think with them pumping out 140K 6+ a day, by they could actually be building to order at this point...


That means it would take approx. 14 days to make the first days pre-sales!! and that's figuring 6 versus 6 plus Sales 50/50

Sorry man, I'm not buying that logic. So, every single CSR is purposely lying to every customer and deserves to be essentially pranked, while other customers potentially wait?
 
Frustrating day watching this thread.

Checked my order first thing this morning and no change. So I checked these forums and saw others saying that local Apple stores had stock and they were cancelling to order from Apple and pick up in store. So I checked and sure enough, my local store had stock! So I cancelled my premier order and placed an order with Apple. Just to find out that Next upgrades cannot be picked up in store. I completed my order with Apple anyway and now have a ship date later than my "promised" date from my original AT&T order. :(

Then I see all these people on the forums today saying they started getting tracking numbers on their premier orders. Crap. My impatience has screwed me again. However, I did order a 64GB gold which seems to be the last to be getting tracking numbers.

Then I read that some have tricked the system and placed an order with Apple on a 2-year contract, paying full price to allow for in store pick up, and then when they pick up, returning it and getting the Apple store to do the Next upgrade. So that is my new plan to get my phone early!

I will be checking the local Apple store stock first thing in the morning and if they have them, I will be placing an order using my wife's number, paying the full price for a new 2 year contract and heading to the Apple store to do the old switch-a-roo. It seems like the Apple employees are more then helpful and willing to get you your phone no matter what.

If they laugh in my face and tell me I can't do it when I get there, well, I guess I just return the phone I pre-ordered and wait 3-4 weeks for my original order with Apple.

And all because AT&T couldn't get their act together for the pre-orders. *sigh*
