First time poster, long time reader :)

Ordered around 12:10 AM PST (Premier Account) 64G Gold 6p

Order was processed email @ 4:59 AM PST

Was on latter half of October for like 2 days, then switched to Oct 2nd dates since

Just now checked att site and shows shipped with delivery of Tuesday the 23rd.

Had no emails or texts of the shipping. Just logged on and saw it. Shipping from Ft. Worth, TX
 
I know my husband is feeling lonely he says it needs to get here so I can pay attention to him again lol #

Ouch I would keep it and cancel the other one

I don't even know if it really shipped I only got a text message but no tracking number and when I look up the order number it says canceled wtf.
Do you think they could have shipped the phone by mistake.
 
My 64gb Gold Plus shipped! I've been checking constantly and it just changed status. To be delivered on Tuesday by 8pm Central. I'm in Kansas City, MO. Premier AT&T NEXT. Ordered 5mins after launch, confirmation email at 2:06am CDT. The boy's 64gb Gold Plus ordered minutes late still says 10/2-10-13.

The boy's 64gb Gold Plus also shipped.

Just a tidbit for those that check their status a lot:

For both orders, it changed from 10/2 - 10/13 to "Pending Confirmation" about an hour before it shipped.
 
When I log on to regular att.com and check order status i get one order #
When I log onto premier att and check order status i get another order #

Anyone else dealing with premier have this issue?

Also, premier is saying 'preorder processing' while regular att site is saying 'preparing to ship'

It looks like today they're only shipping silver 128gb and gold 64gb. Hopefully the SG 64 gb come soon.
 
Ordered 3:05 am at att.com got premier email confirmation around 4:28, original shipping was 10/22 then last week got bumped down to 10/02

4:08 pm EST got an email shipping notice just checked the tracking number scheduled for a tuesday delivery!!!!!

But don't you have to prepay it online before you pick up in the store?

Yes, I had to pay the $499 for the 2 year agreement price. When I got there they had to process that sale, wait a bit for their system to update, then return it. After they "restocked" it they were able to redo the transaction as Next. You just have to put up the 2 year agreement price and just wait for it to come back into your account after Apple returns it.

Shipping Weight

Just curious where people are seeing the weight of the package on the fedex tracking? I remember people days ago saying the 6+ package weights 1.2 pounds. My wife's phone has shipped but mine still says preparing to ship. I wanted to see if possibly they could be packaged together and would know if I saw the shipping weight.

Hers was 64 gold and mine is 64 SG.

Seems to me that a 10/13 or later ship date = backordered. I've brought this up before, but I'm confused as to how they aren't the same when it comes to ATT.

Not on all orders...Mine says 10/2-10/13 and says backordered when I call.

I've never seen anything like there where there is so many different ways to check the status and they all say different things. Premier shows the status of "Preorder Processing", myatt shows the status of "Preparing to ship" and when you call it says backordered. Is it that hard to link them all together to where they all say the same thing.

here is my timeline, for the record (central time):

9/12 @ 12:03am - successfully preordered 128GB 6+ via AT&T's website

9/12 @ 12:03am - received "Confirmation for AT&T Order" email that said it "will ship in 14-21 business days" [10/2-10/13]

9/12 @ 2:33am - received another mail stating "Your order is in the process of being fulfilled" and shipping dates remained the same [10/2-10/13]

9/18 @ 4:22am - received "recent ATT order status update" email that stated "We are still expecting to ship your order on the dates listed" [10/2-10/13]

9/21 @ 4:00am - thanks to ideas & advice from the folks here, i checked local (MN) Apple store stock (which was sold out yesterday) to see if there was some in stock for today. i was pleasantly surprised to see a 128GB 6+ at 3 different stores and decided to call AT&T in the morning to find out if I could cancel my preorder and get it from Apple instead.

9/21 @ 7:00am - i called AT&T cust serv. 5 minutes after they opened (at 7:05am) and asked them if i could to cancel my preorder so i could go grab a 6+ via in-store pickup from an Apple Store today, and she said "sure, no problem! if the phone is available there, why not go get it?" she sounded as happy as i was... i said "yep", and that was basically that. she even stayed on the line with me until we verified my eligibility to upgrade was "restored" on the MyAT&T website account. i had my phone in the apple shopping cart before the call was over and paid for it a minute later.

9/21 @ 7:17am - received one email from Apple stating "Your order is being processed", "We’ll email you as your items become available for pickup", and "Available today. We'll notify you when these items are ready".

i'm hoping this will indeed actually happen today, as the system indicated it was available for pickup today, but either way, i'm now certain i'll be getting it sooner than October... thanks to this forum post.

currently at home with my 128GB SG 6+.

i didn't even know what premier was before this, but it sure sounds frustrating. also, if this process makes you feel crazy or anxious, you're not alone. sure, we may feel a little silly to get upset about "a phone", but if you think it through, this is business. you want what you paid for, and when you don't get it, feeling upset (or feeling something) is natural.

add the iPhone "magic" to the mix and we find ourselves on an anticipatory emotional roller coaster. i felt some odd emotions since 9/12... like a kid on xmas, like an addict, like a privileged jerk, etc etc. i don't use the term "first world problems" bcos it insinuates there is a "third world" but i get that guilt.

still, business is business, and when a company makes mistakes, you shouldn't have to accept excuses. you don't even have to accept their explanations. feel how you want to feel. do what you want to do.

anyways... i came home with this new phone and sat down... and thought about this thread, and wanted to drop you all a line and offer my 2 cents bcos ppl act like their too cool to let a "phone" stir emotion, but it happens. it happened to me.

Shipping Question again

Sorry for another shipping question but the customize delivery button on fedex I usually click to have it left at a fedex store for pickup is greyed out. Will this become available as an option once the shipping process gets farther along or is the only delivery option to be signed for at my house. My wife and I both work so that's not really an option for us

...and just following up on my earlier question, still wondering about where on fedex you can see the package weight I have seen several mention?

Hello guys,

I also pre-ordered from AT&T back on 9/12 two hours after they started. I was immediately put in the 10/13-10/22 crowd, then moved up up to 10/2 like most of you. I did what many people did, I cancelled my pre-order. This morning I woke up, I saw a 6 Plus / White/Silver 64GB available for pick up through the Apple Store app and purchased it. I suggest many of y'all do the same. Never pre-ordering from AT&T again. Good luck guys!
 
I had them cancel my preorder as I can walk into Apple store today and get the phone I wanted.

Anyone know how long it takes to reset your eligibility so Apple can see it at the store and be set to purchase there?
