Are these just random fedex planes, or actual planes that are full of iphones
Anybody from Massachusetts and non premier? My order was place on the 12th at 4 AM EST for 6+ SG with an estimated date of 10/13-10/22. A friend of mine who was with me placed an order an hour after me and he just received his order today.
I'm not holding my breath anymore. 8 flights came in yesterday and nothing. I feel if our phones were on those planes then we would have recieved a tracking number by now. I'm literally shocked only one person has said that they recieved a tracking number all day. I'm not saying she was but hopefully that person wasn't just lieing. When tracking numbers hit it seemed as they where sent in waves.
Are these just random fedex planes, or actual planes that are full of iphones

just got off the phone with a cool ATT CSR...spoke with him..(nicely) about this ridiculous wait....he told me my 128 GB Space Gray that i ordered 09/12 as soon as the site opened is really on backorder...and that 10/2 is correct shipping...so he offered to credit me 75.00 dollars off my bill...i thought that was cool..still don't have my phone....but it's something
I wish I could confirm it is full of iPhones, but in reality it is just another FedEx plane leaving Memphis to SoCal. Right now i am sitting at work in Culver City, just wishing my phone is on that plane.

We are just hoping, but the one coming into Oakland came from Memphis which ATT has a Sorting facility there. But I assume we would have seen tracking numbers by now if our phones were on there so not very hopeful but having nothing else to do.
In reality I think our phones would come from TX. That is where all my ATT stuff comes from.
Now if we see a plane coming from Alaska to TX or Louisville to TX or even Louisville to Cali. That would make me more hopefull

I'm in that boat. Just reading and rarely commenting.
It really is starting to look like 10/2 is the date for all of us. Perhaps a unit will ship here and there but with the global launch looming, I'd say that's life for now.
FedEx has a huge distribution center in Memphis. This could be anything.. I wouldn't read to much into it.
Those planes probably had all 6's. Look at Apple's site - no pluses for AT&T or Verizon available for pickup within 500 miles of me.
Apple is in denial that people really wanted a large phone and totally screwed up their demand planning.
Embarrassing, more so than the fiasco with their website crashes on preorder morning.

Just talked to a rep, and he told me that the 10/2-10/13 shipping estimates are fairly accurate at this time. He also confirmed that there is a possibility of receiving the order before 10/2, but it would not be very likely.
Plus SG 64GB and Plus Silver 16GB. Ordered at 3:40 am EDT on 9/12.

I'm ok with waiting but on a whim I dropped into my local AT&T store just to see if they might've had a plus in. Of course not, but I did get to cop a feel on that bad boy (display) for about 5 mins and I tell you what....I am for sure waiting and not "settling" for the 6. I'm dwf not ok "waiting" the 60 plus days, but dammit....that thing is SWEET!

I just called that number and it said something to the effect of high demand possibly causing delays and then started going into activating phones. Don't know what to think about that or make of that.

Summary of Today's Headlines on the forum...
One person has recieved a tracking number in the entire forum... All day, and she may have been lieing.
IPhone will launch Globally in 24 hours with 15 million additional global Pre-orders to be added to the list. (Be sure to welcome our new foreign friends to the forum, interpreters feel free to apply here_____)
CSR's from AT&T told different customers different lies.
We had two (update now 3) people say they cancelled and went with a 6 and then listed reasons justifying the change.
Planes that landed in Alaska carrying iPhones may be headed to Russia for the global launch and not for us. (Wouldn't make much sense but nothing has seemed to make much sense yet).
The phrase, "Screw AT&T" may or may not be a verb. (this was highly departed on page 175).
An Asian guy tossed boxes all over in a humorous gif
IPhone 6 Plus may bend if kept in the pocket. (wouldn't know though because we don't have ours).
