Well, I caught the unicorn today: 6+, SG, 128GB, AT&T.
I learned about the iDevice inventory alert at seaturtle.org from this forum last week. I'd been checking pretty frequently to see if any Apple or AT&T stores got this phone in-stock, and thus far the only 128GB 6+ I had seen in-stock was in silver. I signed up for the seaturtle tracker yesterday, then early this morning at 5:00 am I got an email that it was in at my local Apple store. Since my AT&T account is a premier account (although it was not premier at the date of pre-order), I couldn't reserve it online for in-store pickup. It was killing me all morning as inventory alternating between available / unavailable at my local (Denver area) Apple store. I finally bit the bullet, called AT&T and canceled my pre-order, stayed on the line while the rep "reversed my upgrade" and confirmed my NEXT eligibility was instantly restored, then headed out for the Apple store.
I got there right at 10:00, when they open and there was a line 15-20 people deep
. I was pretty certain I wasn't getting the unicorn after all, until an Apple Store employee told me they got a huge box of 6+ 128GB in last night, all colors, all carriers. 45 min later I left the store a happy guy with a spiffy (and slippery!) new iPhone 6+ in-hand.
For the record, my original pre-order was placed 6:00am MST on the 12th and my dates were always 10/13-10/22.
