I honestly have a hard time believing this. if it were true, it shows a blatant disregard to their own customer base. If it were, true, I will start buying 60 sec commercial spots in my local area (Las Vegas, NV) and I will affect their bottom line,. by thousands if not greater........

Any service oriented company/brand's success is solely based on perception. Regardless of past works (good or bad) IF the general perception of a brand is negative. The survivability of the brand becomes nearly impossible. Any company dealing in service related business, regardless of size is always 72 hrs away from oblivion.

Ha! I agree. I almost **** when I saw it this morning. I had to read the email 5 times. USPS says they don't have a record of the tracking number yet, but that's USPS for you.

Thanks for all the thanks, guys. I'm feeling a little guilty here. I just wanted to throw out my datapoint. BTW, my wife's 64gb SG+ is still on "processing shipment" (as it has for weeks) with the same shipping window.

For the record, my status was never backordered since the day I placed it, just the "processing shipment" or whatever. That B**** always say "backordered" though.

Good luck to you guys. I'll still be monitoring this thread to see when my wife can expect hers.

But the tracking number still says not found. Here we go again. Another bureaucracy to bumble

My hopes began on 9/12 at 8:47 AM EDT, when I ordered the HDTV in your pocket 128GB SG 6+. I excitedly ordered a case and screen protector, which were not due in until October 1. I foolishly thought I would receive my phone prior to October 1 and I would be left with a phone in its birthday suit, unprotected to the harsh realities of the world.

On/around 1 October I chatted the AT&T CSRs and verified the ship dates of 10/13-10/22 were valid, as I was peering into the Apple site and thinking about just ordering from them.

On Friday October 17 I again chatted the CSR to ask what are the odds my phone will ship before next Wednesday, 22 October. The CSR reiterated it WILL ship by 10/22.

On 10/22 at 12:21 PM EDT, I am officially on backorder (877 and .com) with no ship date in sight.

Not sure who to direct my anger at. AT&T, Apple, the dog? :mad:
 
My father placed an order for a 64GB Space Gray 6 Plus on October 15 through Apple's website.

The order says that I should receive my phone between November 13-20. Problem is, I'm leaving for NYC on the 21st for Thanksgiving.

How accurate are the times that Apple gives and is there any possibility I could receive it sooner?

ordered 9/17, SG 6+ 64g, AT&T premier web via company, current ship dates 11/2-11/27. In Colorado.

No change in status since day 1.
 
Well, my SG 128 6+ which was ordered at 6:30AM on 9/12 had an estimated shipment period of 10/13-10/22. It no longer has an estimated shipment date, just says BACKORDERED. Damm :mad:

Who knows when it will come?????

I had the same experience. That's when I said to myself, "forget AT&T" (except I used a different, more carnal verb than "forget") and went to the Apple Store and switched to Verizon. I had the phone I wanted within half an hour.

I'm pleased with the 6+. Finally, I can use my phone without reaching for my readers! :)

At the rate we've been seeing there's a good chance that by the time you get BACK from your vacation, you still won't have the phone.
 
I believe he's referring to the pinned AT&T thread that's at the top of the page. This is one for the 6 plus only as that's the one that's taking so long....

Yes. I've been on this one since page 15 and even though I got my 6+ I still here hoping everyone gets there phones soon.

Just so you guys know people on the ATT preorder status thread are getting shipped and tracking numbers on the 877#

After viewing my new "backorder" status on AT&T.com, I checked my status at the "877" number. Got the same status there also - backorder . So there's no hope. Maybe I'll get it before the next new iPhone from Apple is announced. I might drop down to my local AT&T store looking for that sales clerk that says, "Yes we have the new iPhone".

As luck would have it. I sold a car to an att salesman. Lol.

I asked him abou the 6 plus and their stock. He explained that most stores aren't going to recieve any til November. They haven't recieved any since the 19th and they only had 14 phones in stock that day. I tried to bribe him into seeing if he could get me one earlier than that and that didn't even work. There's literally nothing we can do guys ###

They're using US Postal Service to ship some of these? That's surprising to hear.
 
So apparently after waiting patiently since the 12th with a shipping window of OCT 13-22 in the 22nd it is ok to update status to backordered with no dates given. WTF

That is my irritation as well. Just provide accurate information. It is what it is, but complicating things with poor communication increases the sting of the delay.

Very unprofessional.
 
The "Devil Lady" switched from back order to being processed. It says on website that preparing to ship.

I saw all the movement for people last night, so decided to give the 877 number a call and thens when I realized the order switched. It still says on the phone and on the website that my shipping window is 11/9-27, but is being processed a good sign? Is it possible that my phones could ship early, and how long should it be before I get some shipping information. Anyone have any idea, or is this some BS from ATT to make me feel warm and happy?

I have been really trying to be optimistic about the whole long wait times. Has anyone else thought... that the whole reason these phones are taking so long is that apple is truly nervous about the whole bendgate fiasco? Now this is my theory, it is just a theory. Apple has had to modify these phones to make them a little stronger so that they wont have the problem of thousands of people returning there bent iphones. So pushing back the dates to allow them to fix a problem will save them money in the long run. Now if this longer wait time means I will have a stronger iPhone I am ok with it. I just don't know how I will be able to test my theory. Any thoughts?

I have the same issue. Try by your order number instead of phone number. In confirmation email they might gave you a number (only number) to enter after dialing 877#.
