AT&T Pre-order status iPhone 6 Plus (only)

I have been really trying to be optimistic about the whole long wait times. Has anyone else thought... that the whole reason these phones are taking so long is that apple is truly nervous about the whole bendgate fiasco? Now this is my theory, it is just a theory. Apple has had to modify these phones to make them a little stronger so that they wont have the problem of thousands of people returning there bent iphones. So pushing back the dates to allow them to fix a problem will save them money in the long run. Now if this longer wait time means I will have a stronger iPhone I am ok with it. I just don't know how I will be able to test my theory. Any thoughts?

There was similar negative PR with the iPhone 4 grip and antenna signal... They didn't make manufacturing adjustments to that phone mid roll-out (as far as we know). For the 6+ I really think its only the inventory being spread so thin because of the pace of the global roll-out.

The "Devil Lady" switched from back order to being processed. It says on website that preparing to ship.

I saw all the movement for people last night, so decided to give the 877 number a call and thens when I realized the order switched. It still says on the phone and on the website that my shipping window is 11/9-27, but is being processed a good sign? Is it possible that my phones could ship early, and how long should it be before I get some shipping information. Anyone have any idea, or is this some BS from ATT to make me feel warm and happy?

I would say, tonight or tomorrow you will get shipping confirmation. Congrats..

My original ship dates were 10/2- 10/13. I saw that ***** come and go, according to a CSR my new dates were 10/13- 10/22. Looks like a repeat, not suprised. This is seriously BS, now what's next?!?! It was released over a month ago. I preordered mine @3am on the 12th, everyone I know who ordered theirs through Apple days after I ordered mine has received their 6+ and mind you it was delivered to them week one of this month. I really wish I knew who was responsible for the colossal f up.

Okay so so here is something interesting, I just called at&t and they are showing that my new dates are between Oct 27th and Nov 3rd. They also said I placed my order on the 13th which is crap because I have the confirmation email dated September 12th with the time 3:47 am CDT. I'm Over this already, I could take a extended wait period. I mean I get the fact that millions of people want this phone ... Whatever, as long as they were honest and the shipping dates were accurate.

For the record, I am in no way upset at you. I am, however, furious at ATT for their clear failure to do first come, first serve in this case. That they are idiots who can't create an ordered list is not your fault.

I ordered on 09/22 almost a month ago...

This happened to me a couple of times when I called the 877 number, so I hung up and called back immediately and the next time the 877 lady found my order and said "backordered". I figured I may have fat fingered the phone number or the shipping zip code. HTH

Based on my experience, definitely a good sign.

This is what happened to me yesterday. The phone shipped last night and is sitting at my local Fedex sort facility because AT&T sent it via two-day shipping. My phone is literally 10 miles away but I can't go and get it. I just have to wait until tomorrow.

Yeah, I was thinking of this too. Maybe just because I wanted to rationalize the delay in some way other than to say that AT&T or Apple were completely clueless about how many people want a bigger phone. Either way, this is a good theory and I hope is true. I'd hate for the phone to bend in my pocket!

Looks like it's shipping from Memphis via FedEx and should be here in two days. Can't wait!

From what I have seen the promotion is by order date not delivery date. They will still honor it.

Same here. I was told that as long as my order date was before the end of the promotion, that they would still honor that. Since I don't have my phone yet, that remains to be seen.

I asked them this very question when I ordered mine on 9/16 and knew it would be well after 9/30 after I receive it and they said they would. If they don't I'll have to bust some heads over there....
