no sure if this will help you or not, southeast. cancelled my order with att today and picked up my phone at apple store in augusta ga, southeast area. rep said they are getting a lot of people driving up from Miami to get phones. as i have been watch fl. not much has been sent to apple stores in fl. some 16 and 64 but very few 128 and they are gone in a second.
I know you are doing just att. but seen none from att in my state and not much from apple. might make a point. Charleston sc and georga do not seem to have the same large shortage as fl. of att iphones, sprint is plentiful.
My son wants to change his order from the 6 to the 6+ as he's having second thoughts about the 6, PLUS AT$T keeps pushing his shipment dates back. But, AT$T told us that if he changes his order to the 6+ his shipping window would be pushed to the middle of December, if not the end of it! 
So to try to lift his spirits, I told him I would keep checking istocknow and hopefully an Apple store in our area or ANYWHERE in Texas will have one for both of us and I would make the trip to get them. Seriously though, what are the chances of that happening?
I forgot to add, per the conversation with the CSR, she also stated that once he receives his 6, if he doesn't like it and still wants the 6+, he has 14 days to exchange it at any AT$T stores. Yea, sounds real good, considering the AT$T stores have NO stock!

it is tricky but it does work i got both of my iphone 6+ 128 gig, one silver one grey this way using istocccknow.com and set up your alerts for the phone and area cities you are willing to drive to. also i learned that apple seems to update their stock roughly between 1- 4 am, 1-3pm, and 630-730pm eastern time. hope this helps you some. also make sure the card you want to use is put on your apple account, then you only need to enter the security code on the back of the card also if you can use the app and in th app it lets you add 4 of the cities as favorites. all this does same time and timing is a big key, you can see it an by the time you hit submit it could be gone.

Good question! We're basically in the same galaxy. Mine is shipping FedEx - yours is shipping UPS. But the difference is a day. The FedEx # is atypical and looks like a USPS #. I can wait another day but all this seems so haphazard.
I ordered my 6+ on 10/14 with shipping for 11/21-12/3. I had to do the Next plan since I was locked in with my 5S. They "charged" me tax in store, and my order is processing. But I checked my bank account and it does not look like they charged me. Does the charge come through when they ship it? I would hate for my phone to get canceled and have to wait another month.

Yes when they ship your phone they will actually charge your phone. It is just a hold right now and it will prolly drop off after a couple days.
This right here is why I'm so upset about how AT&T is handling this. I ordered before you for the exact same phone and have a later date. But at this point he dates mean nothing anymore. Hurry up and wait...
