I'm 3 seconds away from marching into t mobile or verizon and switching carriers. I sent an email and I will talk to my family about switch in carriers

Call billing customer service and ask to talk to the retention dept. Tell them you & your family are defecting. I don't know if that will help you get your phone faster, but I bet they'll negotiate a lower monthly bill and no upgrade fee.
 
I thought this day wasn't going to come! 128GB SG ordered on 9/12 at 9AM CST finally charged my credit card and the backorder lady has finally changed her tune. I will keep you all updated and let you know when I get a shipping # and date! The first recommended step I would give anyone to take away the notion to want to check the 877# over and over again is to setup text notifications for your card used on your account. I promise if you wait to call it again until your bank text you about your charge your next call will be a lot more promising!!!!! Can't be more excited to finally see some movement and I hope that everyone hears something soon! I will definitely be on here for a while and I will be here until at least everyone from the 12th gets their phone!

I ordered on 09/12 at 4:00 pm est for 6+ 64 SG in ATT store in MI. My status is backorder with est 11/09-11/27 shipping.
 
Well my order was canceled by AT&T this morning. Per CSR a glitch in there system. i ordered on 9/12. And it had been on back ordered for 6 weeks. They offered to let me reorder. I instead found a 64gb silver at an Apple Store and after a four hour round trip I have my phone. I originally ordered 128 gb gold. My husband has the 64 plus silver. His came a month ago and I ordered them both at the same time.

I think that if that happened to me I would basically just go over to T-Mobile and switch to them and deal with whatever their wait time is for the 6+. At this point it's just out of hand. Looking back It all seems so foolish. For weeks we sat and watched flight aware tracking all of the ups shipments coming out of china and landing in the states. Then we would call the 877# almost every hour on the hour expecting to be told something other than "backorder". We're now learning that the estimate ship dates mean nothing. These 11/9 - 11/27 dates might mean that our phones won't ship until late December, early January. With the holiday season coming I don't doubt that ATT is stock piling the phones that should be shipped to us so that they can fulfill walk in demand at the stores.
 
The otterbox for the 6 plus became available to purchase on their website. I'm sure I'll get it before I get my phone. I'm glad the preorders are finally shipping. Enjoy!!

i'm starting to get a bit irritated myself. its not so much the wait as it is AT&T. i'm getting fed up with them.
 
i went to cancel my backordered 128 sg since 12 sept. at company store in Georgia they could not cancel it and they did try, come to find out that i am premier and the reason for being premier as this was a quetion some one asked once. it is because my account is discounted every month.

Ok for those who have been told this also the company att store cannot cancel it. so on the drive back i called the 611 number and they CAN cancel it as i had been told by a rep before. so if you get a rep who states they CANNOT cancel it this is wrong they CAN as the rep i got today had not problem doing it.
just be patient is does take time to do it but it CAN be done.

she also cancel the new line i added yesterday so i could do the instore pickup and removed the 2 year contract i had to choose to get the phone and now it is moved to my line that was tied up with the backordered phone.

So good news for those who preordered the 128 space grey there is one less phone/person on the list before you . :) it is now freed up to the backorder gods. lol

I have gotten my phones via using istocknow.com and apple store pick up.

I feel for you! I had a similar situation recently luckily I caught it in time...Whew! Last year they emailed you at least to give you an opportunity to address it.

I am so frustrated with ATT right now. I originally ordered on a 64gb gold on 9/17 with a shipping date of 11/9-11/27. My credit card I used to place the order was stolen a couple weeks ago and I had to get a new card. Today I called ATT and they said they couldnt change the card number to my new one and that I would have to cancel my order and place a new one. Now I have the shipping dates of 12/4-12/15 :mad:
 
Looks like the SG 64's are moving.

I got UPS tracking tonight on both of my SG 6+ 64's. They are in Fort Worth and will be here in San Antonio Monday.

What was your order date and time? Also I'm developing a theory that ATT divides shipping up into regions so that the coasts can't eat up all the preorder inventory for the country so could you also please state which area you are in using this map.

Even if there's no update in status, it would still be a small gesture to let their customers know that they acknowledge the issues and frustration. Is that too much to ask for?! :D

ATT values your wallet, not you, the customer. Emails will not get your wallet to send them more money.

That would probably just annoy me more. Because if i saw an email from AT&T I would probably get excited thinking my phone finally shipped, only to find out it didn't. That's what happened the only time att sent an "update."
 
According to istocknow plenty of Silver 6+ 128 in Philadelphia, PA and NY area Apple stores.
No supply at all for ANY color in 64 or 128 in TX.
