Still in backorder hell as of 2 minutes ago.
I was trying to hold out and see if I would receive the phone before I felt the urge to chime in but here we are in the last week of Oct. and my hopes for early shipment have dwindled to no expectation at all.
A bit of good news though is that my card was charged yesterday so that gives me hope there is some form of movement as the trend has typically shown shipment sometime shortly after our cards were charged again.
Hopefully it won't be long.![]()
haha me too! But at least for me, I'm seeing people who have ordered the same phone after me, but have earlier shipping dates, I'm hoping that means I will still get mine before them. I guess only time will tell! Good Luck to us all!
Anyone know why att premier would cancel my order out of nowhere? Ordered 9/22 with expected ship date 10/30-11/10.
It hasn't even rained here in the last 7 days. Wth are they talking about?
I was very surprised to hear that USPS was involved in some of these being shipped to customers. They are notoriously slow and unreliable with personal mail so I'm surprised they would have played any role in the initial launch. This reeks of a cost-cutting measure by AT&T.
I just checked online and apparently my phones 128 Gold ATT/64 Gold ATT shipped on Saturday from Fort Worth, TX and has an expected delivery date of today by FedEx.
Original ship dates were 11/9-11/27/14 and have been in process with the 877 number since I ordered.
Looks like this is going to be a good week for ATT iPhone orders!
Hey All, figured I would offer a glimmer of hope. My coworker's phone shipped and will be here Wednesday.
64gb Silver Plus. He ordered through our company's att account on the 13th or 14th of Sept. With delivery dates of 11/911/27. I however, am still stuck in backorder purgatory... But it give me hope some 64's are shipping.
Checked the status just now. The phone has been shipped. Will be delivered on Wednesday.
Haven't received any email from AT&T yet.

The whole thing about this is, now that it's out for delivery the waiting is real! It's harder than waiting those long...long 6 weeks!![]()
So I shot an email over to Mr. Stephenson with some complaints regarding my order and received a phone call back from someone at his office just a few minutes ago and we chatted for a good 20 minutes. I had initially emailed him to say how disorganized this release was, how it needed to be handled better, how I have been waiting over 39 days (27 business days) and some people like myself ordered the phone not because we wanted the latest and greatest but because we NEEDED it (current iPhone has been broke for many weeks). Her only solution was to send me a working smartphone to use until my iPhone 6 Plus order is fulfilled, which I agreed to. She said AT&T's hands are tied and ultimately its Apple who isn't sending them enough devices to fulfill orders because of the global demand for the phones. And when i asked why people who ordered after me received their phones already, she honestly had no answer for me. She tried to explain that some accounts have priority (business, premiere,etc.), but couldn't tell me why. All I know is that we both agreed that this whole thing is mind blowing and she said they cannot wait until all orders are fulfilled and their company stores have stock but is afraid it will not be until the beginning of 2015.
