Long time lurker....
Ordered 9/12 11:00 a.m. PST 64GB SG iphone 6+ for myself, followed by an exact duplicate order for my wife at 11:20 a.m. same day. Was quoted a two week delay, followed by an email from ATT the next day stating an early October delivery, only to receive the 11/9-11/27 banishment to the black hole of death email later the same day.
Called ATT to complain about the rapid erosion in delivery and was told that I needed to cancel the order and find a unit at my local Apple store. CSR stated that "everyone" is doing this.
Spent most of my October here on the forum with you and watching the daily flights from china on Flightaware.com
Unexpectedly the 877# changed from back ordered to processing on Tuesday, followed by a UPS notification of delivery for this coming Friday. Yes, I rejoice, we have been paroled from the 11/9-11/27 black hole of death! Then this morning I am greeted by a notification that my order has been delayed until next Monday, and further inspection reveals that only one phone has shipped. WT heck, I ask myself. So it's back to the 877# number to talk to my friendly ATT CSR, silently hoping that it's Lily on the other end. No such luck. Why, I ask the friendly ATT CSR, has only one phone been shipped when they were ordered for the same account twenty minutes apart? Well, I'm told, they go in the system as separate orders so to think that they should ship in relatively the same period of time is completely off base. And I'm further informed that I'm looking at this completely wrong: ATT has shipped one of our phones 6 weeks early; the other is still on schedule.
Well, how rude of me.
